Took mum for a lovely drive out to this cache which I've been wanting to get for ages. Gosh, never realized the extent of the Forestry Commission. Note to self... Xmas trees....lol
I found myself stuck on a steep and rough track on the way to this one. Google had found the worst route possible i think. Luckily i managed to turn around and find another way. The geopooch found a dead kangaroo too, i hope my luck improves. On the plus side the cache is in perfect condition.
It has been a while since i hit the road and found some caches so i was wrapped to have found myself with time today and quite a number of days free over the next three weeks. I spent the afternoon caching in the Macedon and Trentham areas today and ended up with 25 finds, 2 DNFs, 1 did not attempt and a lot of fun. The geopooch has missed exploring and walking and most particularly swimming, she managed to get plenty of all three. I tested my legs by wearing shorts and unsurprisingly, found that blackberry, thistle and scrub were far more uncomfortable than usual. I also found some pretty sketchy four wheel drive tracks including steep hills, puddles, deep ruts and washouts. One of the hills was too much for my poor old banger and i had to do a thirty point turn on a steep section to return and find another way, i thought only fairly minor damage was inflicted. Unfortunately the geomobile was making some horrible noises on the way home so i think i will have to check it out tomorrow and see what i can do to keep her on the road for a little longer.

We got a very extended tour of the country side as we weaved our way to this cache. Once we finally got there, accurate coordinates and a very familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The container was in good condition but it had lots of pieces of paper inside. A spring clean (when spring finally arrives) would be appropriate. Thanks Keeper of Time for the cache.
IdiotLairds found it!

Holey Moley, we would have never seen the beautiful landscape and houses if we didn't come looking for this cache!
Well hidden too!

Nice little spot! Been meaning to drive through this way for years. Now to walk the dog.
Dragged my partner out for a Sunday drive in the dirt with the 4b, made our way to think cache after a few on the mount. found this cache . The sounds of the cars on the freeway made me think someone was driving up the dirt road!
Found in a hurry, log book signed in a hurry back to the safety of my nice warm car. TFTC!

Did the walk from woodend and had beautiful views of a cloud topped mount Macedon
A fine sunny afternoon. Walked in as my chosen route turned out not to be so accessible. 2 horses and a car passed ahead of me. All good at GZ

Loved this! Nice drive, great spot - had us stumped for a little bit!! Thank you
Our car GPS found us a pleasant drive through the forest to the bridge over the freeway from Woodend. All the roads were fine. I had an easy find after our drive through forest . I cleaned the cobwebs complete with a dead bullant from the cache . I needed strong fingers to extract the cache from its home. This now quite an old cache but still in excellent condition. Contents were nice, dry and clean. Thanks for another geocaching adventure.
The description says to keep quality swaps. And yet it's literally full of gravel.. what makes people think gravel us a quality swap?.
Anyways I've cleaned out the garbage and signed the log which is still in good order. Thanks for the cache!

Don't follow Google maps here from gissy.
Unless you have a monster truck.
The tracks it wants to to take will swallow your vehicle. I decided not to risk it. Getting muddy, wasting time winching out. Better things to do with my day. So took the scenic walk. Which after 100m turned into an easy gravel road. Go figure. I have driven past this one a million times on the freeway and always so close but so far. At least it's now ticked off. But what's that. Rain. Of course. Looks like we'll be running back!

Out and about on the Geo-motorcycle today and this was my target cache. Enjoyed the ride to GZ for a quick find in the usual spot.

So sorry, I didn't realise I hadn't logged this one yet. Was up in the area with Papi4506 an OHC and found some great caches. This was one. Love finding the older caches. Thanks for placing this and maintaining it for so long.
Having a great time on a lovely day, searching for some caches whilst visiting this area. This was a nice quick find which was appreciated as the wind is bitterly cold today. Thanks for placing this here.
Hi I found this today walking my dog un-intentional find, but now I’m interested in this geocaching thanks

If what we found was the cache it’s in need of some serious maintenance. The spiders have taken up residence and it’s a shell of its former self
Found by Aussie Train Driver 22/12/2018. Finally made the effort to find this one after it has been on my to do list for ages. After climbing Macedon from the old scout camp parking area I detoured into the forest. I now know what this bridge is for having driven under it (without giving it much thought) many times!
The cache was an easy find and I managed it without being bitten by any of the bull ants which have set up a nest directly below the cache. TFTC!

The number of times I have passed this on the freeway and wondered how to get there, today was the day... tftc
Found on a trip home, difficult to find a good route to GZ but spectacular views. TFTC!
a pleasant day out caching and grateful I had a" larger than the usual cache container" stashed in the back. I quickly tipped out the goodies and refilled with lovely succulent blackberries while Claybol signed the log and took photos of the area. we were on a time schedule so it was "quick pickings".. and they were delightful with ice-cream later that evening. thanks for the cache placement and the extra bonus for me.
Find #1624 for me. Found with jtnsilo at 3:40 pm. After finding the "Deniliquin Goods" cache not too far away, we navigated the tracks to get to this one. I was a little uneasy doing this since my Getz has a very low clearance and I didn't want to bottom out, but the tracks we took were fine as long as I drove slowly and carefully and we got there safely in the end. After parking I saw we were only 6m from the cache! Hmmmm..... I think I know where this one will be! And we were right! Quick find here with the cache and contents in good condition. Thanks for bringing us here today Keeper of Time and thanks for the cache!
Just watch out for bull ants and be persistent in looking. You’ll eventually find it.
It has been a busy few days after spending Friday/Saturday/Sunday and a part of monday caching around St Arnaud, down to Linton Tuesday and up this way Wednesday.
The hardest part is all the logging but though time consuming that is what we do.
As Ross stated in his log we found our way in, so with the log signed it was on to the next.

Suscoe and Bushfire headed north today in search of caches.
A cloud start to the day, we had it all, rain, fog, drizzle, mild temperatures, sunshine and low clouds. Well it is Spring in southern Victoria after all.
But the main thing was that most of the day was dry after last night's precipitation.
Thanks to Keeper of Time for this hide, a quick find by the Red Ant. A few closed tracks in the plantation area, but the helpful "DETOUR SIGN" got us safely to GZ.

We had a family gathering in Woodend today, so I disappeared for a while and found this cache. tftc.
