I missed seeing this was a trig on our last visit to Black Mountain so I made sure I got it today. Unfortunately I didn't realise there was another and that I'd stood practically on it. One for next time... Black Mountain is a great location but today everything was closed for renovation. TFTT GCA

We walked several tracks on Black Mountain geocaching, and visited the tower as part of this.
I was able to talk my PiC into a trip up here for the views and that gave me a shot at the 2-4-1 virtuals here. This was first and I got the required selfie at 16:20.
Thanks Geocaching Australia.

I was up here for the retro cache on the north side of Black Mountain and took a pic of the Black Mountain Tower in the hope that it might be a passive trig. Despite many a visit here to CBR over the years, I've never actually been up to Black Mountain before so it was great to get a close up of it but I suppose I'm late for the party as it's looking like it's seen better days. Anyway here it is with novo. TFTC.

I visited Black Mountain, on this the shortest day of the year, to find a few caches. It was a lovely day for caching; with hardly a breeze. The view from the tower was spectacular and the water on the lake still. It has been years since I last went up the tower. $7.50 today and last time I think it was $2. That shows just how many years . I can't say much for the café though, but the coffee was okay. I expected it to be windy at the top of the tower, but there was hardly a breeze, so I chose the day to visit well. I pulled my camera out and clicked away. Great to see that view again. And to log this trig. TFTC.

Such pretty views of the tower tonight! A cold wet evening to be out caching. But totally worth it!
Late this afternoon we visited the Telstra Tower on Black Mountain and took the required photo for this cache. The photo is included with this log. Thanks GA for the cache.
Snapped this one on our last visit to Canberra. An iconic tower and a must do when visiting Canberra.

I was up here again for two LAB caches, still another visit required later, but I grabbed an image of the tower while I was up here today.

After a great Retreat, in Murrumbateman, over the weekend and still with some free time on my hands, I decided on heading into Canberra for the next couple of days after it. Monday 23/11, main focus was the older caches around the ACT which sort of panned out but with extra caches that I couldn’t pass by changed that. It was a great day visiting various places that I hadn’t and many others that I have. I also avenged my DNF on GC8PRBB and I found out that I am the first person to find this cache since August. The only problem was that there was rain to begin the day but it cleared up pretty quickly. With Geocaching, a small spot of shopping and meal breaks it lead into a great day out. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s and TFTTP’s
If any require photo for logging, they will be uploaded shortly.

I was at Black Mountain Tower a couple of years back, so I hope this photo is fine to use. I am not very happy with heights and I have no idea why I went up to the top of the tower...maybe it was the views, as they were not too bad! TFTC.

Second day of caching in Canberra this weekend. Weather looks a lot better then yesterday. With that said the bike came out if the car so I didn't drag it along the whole way for nothing. Lots of caches found again, thanks to all for hiding. Also made good progress towards a few goals.

Sophoutloud and I are exploring Canberra, I think it is quite a beautiful and unique city (not sure why it cops so much flack) and so many of the trigs are huge and easy to see up on great big stands. well you can see this from about 100km away I reckon but we drove up to the top to check out the views anyway and get the other nearby old trig, what a spectacular view.

On my way home after attending a GC Event down south and decided to head up here for another photograph as I have already claimed the nearby trig. Thanks for publishing these trigs Geocaching Australia.

Out for a run around the area with LuckyL10n and this was another quick stop.

#GA4903 - 11:10; Picked up Sol de lune and headed out on a caching run to collect some of the newly published trigs around the National Capital. Decided to head up the hill as we headed back south and grab this newer trig in an area I had claimed the other trig many moons ago. TFTT Geocaching Australia

A short drive with Black Bunny and the dogs. Fairly straightforward cache and easy find.

Out for a Sunday drive with Just a cacher and decided to grab a Trig or two as we passed by.
A quick find here today.

Had some great photos of this tower from when we attended the Queanbeyan Mega last year. Mrs W's shoulder is just in the photo. TFTT

Took a few shots from various angles during my weekend visit. Got a close shot from a school excursion from 3 years ago, but where is it?

Strange that they forgot about this one so far. I have hundreds of photos to BMT from all directions, here are some from close up and real close up. Not claiming FTF as in having gone up there as soon as possible after publication. I am happy to log it as I remember being in my inbox.
A family visit to ACT bought me here. Unfortunately they’re all muggles so I shall return to ACT for some solid geocaching in the future. Thanks for the cache
