Description
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
The tripod at this site has been removed. The remains of the footings are still in place to locate the metal disk.
There are great 360° views from this location. There is a clear walking track from the North Point Road.

Left Brisbane area harbour at 4.30am this morning so we had lots of time to explore the north section of the island between tides. This was a pleasant little walk on my first day on the Island. The views - WOW!!!. What an amazing Island!

I visited this view point after not being able to get to Mt Tempest due to a track closure. The recent bad rains caused a lot of damage apparently. The GC Traditional cache was signed then the survey marker and the remains of a leg base photographed and then finally the views looked at before jumping into the geo-van for more exploring. I didn’t know at the time there was a Trig Point find up here so went looking.. now I’m logging. Someone I met a few years ago introduced me to Geocaching Australia and particularly Trig Point finds. I really enjoy finding these.

I was lucky enough to join Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo, Crew 153, Pprime, Radnoski, and Team Herbz for a weekend of fun on Moreton Island. This was our first stop for the day and I was pleased to take in the views while others searched for a nearby GC cache We noted the nearby trig point and decided it needed to be added to the GCA site

As a member of a three car convoy of geocachers spending 3 days on Moreton Island we took the stroll up the hill to this spot. The views were terrific and we were surprised that there was no GCA Trig point at this location so we have now created this one.

Found with Crew 153, Pprime, 1MinnieMoo, Just a Trifle, Radnoski, and Team Herbz. This small amble up the hill is well worth it for the 360 degree views. TFTP Crew 153
