Description
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
An amazing view, with 360° views of the city and surounding countryside. First light and sunset are particularly beautiful, well worth the trip to the top of the hill. Park your car and walk the last 100 metres up the concrete path (with assistance you could get a wheelchair to the lookout).

Almost gave up on the marker... it was a lot more overgrown than it appears in previous photos. Scratched around a bit more and finally discovered it in front of the tree. Wonderful views here. TFTC GCA

Very short stop in Gayndah on my way to Rockhampton from Kilkivan. Home to Rocky is 3.5 hours and coming this way turns it into a 7 hour trip but I had other things to do here as well. TFTTP
