Description
Copper spike and survey markings
Isolated peak along the ridge line north of Taffy's rock. Copper spike inserted into top of rock outcrop with 4 etched arrows and 2 adjacent carved arrows. Speculating this was possibly an obsolete or unused trig point. Best access is by following the ridge line north west of Taffy's Rock. There are a few odd rock cairns to mark the way. Found with Crash2079 1 September 2021.

Logs
After climbing up to Cliff from the beach, continued west to Taffy's rock and then along the ridge to this trig. Not much there compared to the others on this peninsula but a great rock to climb for the view. Back on the track to Cowan seeing no-one else along the way today.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found with Crash2079 on walk up from Taffy's Gully. Was surprised to find this copper spike set into the rock at the top of the knoll. It would have been a good vantage point to get heights from nearby trig points and was probably used in some way, at some time. Thick bush on way up despite the recent hazard reduction which left a lot of unburnt ground. Heading to Taffy's Rock came across hints of a trail and some stone cairns - best access would be via Taffy's Rock.
