With most of the clan heading down to Sydney to see the Gruffalo with Pop, Dad and one of the boys took the chance to mop up some of the trig points around the lake.

We were coming to the end of a longish day and so when given the choice of heading down to the beach and back or cutting through the bush from the road we chose the latter option in the hopes that it would be more direct. Still not sure if it was the correct choice or not. After taking a path that was definently not direct, our GPS was telling us we had 1m left but there was no sign of a trig point. After a bit of map checking we decided to check past logs, which redefined what we were looking for. It was still a little but tricky looking through the scrub but we managed it before taking a different, but no more direct path back to the car.

Was this way today for the funeral of my cousin – taken way to young – for me after service & wake I couldn’t just drive home – needed a trig or 7 to complete. Taken my sister along for the ride – my moto it’s not about the destination but the journey getting there.
I was unable to talk my sister into it – was for here a bit hard going – will do next time – beach was good here
