Logs
I decided to visit this one first to see what the terrain and forrest is like. How dense is it etc. I parked at the entrance gate to the NP and made my way up the hill. It started easy then thickened significantly but it’s not a long hike so it wasn’t long before I found the summit. It took a bit of searching to find the trig remains. A partial cairn and disks on the ground. Oh well. It’s still a find. It would have been a fine sight back in its day. Images taken and time to get back to the geo-van and head towards Red Rock Gorge.
While descending I heard a big noise beside me and when I looked I saw this huge goanna on the tree beside me looking at me carefully with one eye. I think we both frightened each other. As I backed away slowly (after of course getting a photo) it climbed slowly haha that was close! I’m looking forward to returning to this National Park. Thanks for the cache
