Description

Access to trig via pathway alongside property on Olympic Highway. Long shots can be attained from various vantage points.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the centre point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.

Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape.
Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to access.

These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

On my way past and I decided to stop off to find this Trig. A nice quick stop off and distance photo. Now off to the next Trig. TFTTP Big Grin

Found on a trip out here with MrsRoosta for a few finds and virtuals.
A quick stop for pics and then off again.
The white trig stands out next to the dark poles.
Thanks for the cache,
Roostaman.

I spotted the tower first and assumed that there would be a trig there. It is visible from the road, but there is an access driveway alongside a property. The gate is not locked and it is easy to get to the trig. Great 360 degree views of town in on direction and the prison in the other.

Found this trig back in 2010. Didn't log it then due to "Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache". Obviously, this is not a thing now so I'll now claim the find.
This trig is on private property, but you can still get a photo form the road.
