Description
Dowling - TARWIN SOUTH PM 14
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a brass plaque or pin in the ground. A beacon is sometimes erected over the top and is usually a black disc mounted on either four metal legs, a stone cairn or a concrete pillar.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
Logs
I was a bit reluctant to get any closer after having an encounter with a tiger snake 20 minutes ago so I'm out of here
Passing through the area, we stopped and snapped the required pic, which has been added to the gallery
Almost crawled my way to this one as I spotted some beautiful spiderwebs that I didn’t want to destroy. Made it to thdd we trig, then crawled out.
Rated: for Overall Experience
This one is a trig plaque and marker pole on the side of the road in amongst the bushes. A bit of a pain to get to, but there is a gap in the bushes about 5m to the right.
