Description

South Dudley - WONTHAGGI PM 207

A trig plaque with a box cover in the foot path outside of the High School.

A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a brass plaque or pin in the ground. A beacon is sometimes erected over the top and is usually a black disc mounted on either four metal legs, a stone cairn or a concrete pillar.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

One of those times where I pull up looking for a structure…but I have not read my notes, and I’m looking for a plate in the concrete.

I tried to lift the plate, but I like having fingernails, so gave up. Tools are under the luggage in my car. So I photographed the top. TFTC.

An easy drive-by trig outside of the local high school. Look for the blue triangle on the fence.
