We had the most amazing day today driving up through the rocks and seeing a truely amazing part of the country with hardly anyone else around. We set our nice and early and went for a walk up to the Lighthouse. The view wasn’t quite what I was hoping for but was beautiful all the same. A very cool lighthouse. We got stranded on the way home and had to spend 4 hours playing and fishing in the ocean and snoozing in shade. Made it back to Waddy point in the dark for a dinner kindly prepared by our companions that didn’t want to make the trip up.

I love lighthouses and I love trigs! This grand location had me slow down and thinking of life. Sitting on a nearby bench I was hit with what-could-have-been moments that occasionally enter our minds. Since I was a child I’ve always dreamed of life as a lighthouse keeper. Then there were the treasures found. Treasures lost. Treasures I thought I once had but never did. Fool’s gold. I got a little lost in my thoughts until I noticed a snake in my peripheral vision. There’s nothing like a snake cruising past your feet to snap you back into the present moment haha. Time to head to camp. Only 6km away. Thank you snake and thanks for the cache Smile
