Levers Plateau (QTS 413 / TS 6109)
Installed 1977. The trig site is on the high point of Levers Plateau which is on the SE corner of Mount Barney National Park. It sits a few metres away from the QLD / NSW border fence on the QLD side. A galvanised witness post is what you will find.

Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.

Access: Park at the end of Philp Mountain Road, S 28° 18.534' E 152° 51.168' then walk to the border fence and head north to the listed coordinates. About 8km return, allow 3 hours.
