Headed up the trail from the south east side. Mostly easy walking once on top other that a thick section crossing the swampy area. The trail seemed to continue west but not sure if there is a way up/down from there. Beautiful wildflowers too

Climbed McPhails Trail from Jacks Corner Road. After a visit to the lookout near the Promised Land Trail returned and ascended to the Carrialoo tableland at its north-eastern corner. Steep but nothing technical. The tableland is mostly low open scrub on a had rock base with interesting rock outcrops, interspersed with forest and one area of thick head-high rushes.
Found the trig and continued to the western end of the tableland for extensive views. Then back and descended off the south-eastern corner of the tableland. Walk done with Sydney Bush Walkers.
