Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.
Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.
If you feel that you can add to the description of this trig point or adjust the difficulty / terrain ratings, please feel free to edit this cache and amend the information suitably. Vandalism of the cache description or other information will result in your account being terminated.

It was 27C when I set out. I had a couple of bottles of water for the journey. Not enough it turned out and I had to ration. Managed though.
The first half is okay, but it's after that it's gets tough (I decided I should have done the climb ten years ago, when I was ten years younger.) Put one foot in front of the other and keep going. I took two or three short breaks. Hot day, and I didn't know how hot till I got back to the bottom again. It had gotten up to 32C. (My car thought it was 33C.) Likely why I needed more water. I did feel like giving up as the path rose, but I would tell myself not far now. I told myself that multiple times
This was a fantastic cache, with a great journey to get it. Even though we took the route via the northern peak as well. Great views and great company on the trek. I am so happy to cross this oldish cache off the ones not found.
Thanks
Albida
Amazing views up here

I started the day off by going to the dawn service in Temora. I loved the service and when the Spitfire (plane) went over the top of us. I then headed home for some breakfast and seeing that I have the day off of work I found myself driving to ‘The Rock’. Originally to hike up to the top of ‘The Lion’ in ‘The Rock Nature Reserve’ but seeing how there are caches along the way, I thought I would get a few added to my accounts as well. I also learnt a few things today. Unless stated otherwise, all caches were found quickly. On some of the smaller log books/paper I signed as 25/4 JM. Thanks to all CO’s of the caches I found, the locations I experienced and for the fun I had today.
Today’s totals:
21 Groundspeak finds
4 Geocaching Australia finds
0 DNF’s
My 2nd GCA cache of the day. A nice quick find here. TFTTP
