Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.
Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.
If you feel that you can add to the description of this trig point or adjust the difficulty / terrain ratings, please feel free to edit this cache and amend the information suitably. Vandalism of the cache description or other information will result in your account being terminated.

Great views from up the top.
A few lizards running around here and there and a carpet of Patterson's Curse.
With the chores done at the olds' it was time to make my way home... so of course that meant setting off at a tangent.
Terrick Terrick National Park was my destination for the afternoon, as I hoped for a decent walk or two, and some nice views. Not to mention the Trig Points atop the couple of hills and one of the Burke and Wills expedition's camps.
Mitiamo, just to the south, sports a really interesting war memorial, with a Geocache to match. I came through a couple of years ago, but too late on a showery day to visit the National Park.
This afternoon, in welcome sunshine, I took a look at the track and decided to walk from the entrance. It turns out that near the start was the only part that was mucky from a few days ago, but the five kilometre hike was a much-needed leg stretch, and only the last couple of hundred metres are fairly strenuous.
There was a bonus dot com cache near the summit, and the view from here was well worth the walk.
Many thanks to Geocaching Australia for another incentive to climb a hill.

Parked adjacent to the trig.....in the shade.....only problem was it was 200 odd metres adjacent. Anyway, we headed off and soon had the 200 metres covered and were standing at the trig. No bad views from...photos grabbed and we were on our way.

Our geocaching sister and brother-in-law, baby&Mrs gopher missed part of the weekend to return to one of their favourite spots Terrick Terrick and their tales lured us out here today to follow in their footsteps'
Great views from the Trig Point on a glorious sunny winters day.

Never been to this part of the Terricks. Will send photo as soon as I can Thanks for bringing us here.
My first visit to the northern peak of Terricks and it was a reasonably easy walk and scramble to the top.
In the area today on a similar mission gave us the opportunity to log this trig.
Another great location typical of most trigs.
A nice part of the park.
Thanks, Robmc.
5 adulkts and 3 kids all to the top.
A wonderful trip to view a magnificent sunset.
After visiting the near-by TP Cache how could we not include this one as well? Another excellent view but access is not as easy as the TP to the south. Just love these TP Caches.
