Serial number is: TS5876.

Last inspected on: June 23, 1993.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.

Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.

These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

A Bathurst surrounds trig hunt day with master navigator rogerw3.

A relatively easy access by vehicle and short walk ... this trig is next to an across the landscape standout comms tower. In pristine condition, no doubt due to the tower construction, with mast, vanes and name plate.

The original stone cairn is nearby, but the pin could not be found, and sweeping views of the Bathurst plains can be taken in.

Out on a Trig hunt with whitemushroom. An easy find as you can drive right up to the Trig.

I'm not sure why this trig has not been visited...the first part of the road up is a shared driveway, but it separates and heads pat the property and up. I had to abandon the car, as it was not going to cope with the dry, slippery gravel. I got to the top with a camera, but not my gps, so I could not get a coordinate reading on the old pin. Great views of Bathurst from up here. The trig is in good condition.
