I was completing a nearby GC (finally!) and spotted this trig just off the path. It’s in good condition, other than the nearby growth. TFTT
Just off the track but starting to be overgrown

Got lucky with the parking. Decided to just head to the highest point and not bother with the GPS...Oh! There it is! Trying to hide from me, eh?

While down from Taree, for a 40 year High School reunion I was wanting to find a few trigs and waymarks to keep filling up the Waymarking calendar. Not too sure if I had found this trig back in the 80's; as I lived at Wahroonga then. It is quite hard to get through the short distance from the track to the lookout into the space around the concrete pedestal (Hotine style). No room to get a 'good' selfie, with the encroaching scrub.
Nice to see the intact post, vanes, and name plate

while out in North Curl Curl decided to find this trig took a bit of getting to the right spot as could see the vanes but took a little while to get near enough to take the required photos. Thanks for the trig

Nice well preserved trig complete with its name plate and mast and vanes. Easy to miss as it is tucked away in the bush. Great views from the look out well worth stopping for.

Found today on a walk up over the cliffs at Dee Why. A great walk with lots of lovely views and a trig to bag. Great stuff!

Came across this trig unexpectedly on a 6 Hr Socialgaine starting from Narrabeen. I've probably walked past it many times but today we got the photograph to prove it! Didn't stay long as we had checkpoints to find...
I don't know how many times I've walked past this trig. This time I stopped to take a photo.
According to Tony Dawson's "Guide to the Historic Trigonometrical Stations of Sydney's North" Dee Why Trig was originally constructed in 1881 and the current structure erected in 1973.
He also says there are no remains of the original monument. I found a copper plug about 2m west of the trig (see photo) but I don't know if it was from the original trig.
Found at 8:05 am.

Found after a GC cache nearby. Base and vanes in very good condition but scrub is starting to obscure it.

Working in manly, I had some time to grab a few local caches, and as one of them was the nearby Curl Curl Pool one, I wandered a short way further up the path and easily found this trig. I got half way there and realised I had forgotten the camera, but luckily the phone has a basic one in it, so I was able to get a pic after all.
Another great trig found on our trig hunt with pjmpjm. Great views from the top of the cliff. Trig is in very good condition with the plaque still attached.

Yet another trig logged by rogerw3 and myself on our afternoon of trig hunting in this area.
As expected, we enjoyed wonderful views!
Like Yurt, we were inspired to plan to visit more of the trigs that populate Sydney's headlands.
Trig was in good shape and it was a pleasure to view and photograph.
We took advantage of our trip here to log nearby GC cache 'Rock Pool North Curl Curl' as well.
'Three Thumbs Up' for the views.

Easy find on the walk between North Curl Curl and Dee Why.
A couple of other caches to find along the way.
This is a beautiful walk.

After finding Long Reef a couple of weeks ago we thought we'd grab another coastal one down here. A good high point and easy to find, the scrub is cleared back and it's intact, including the plaque.
From here we could see to Manly and North Head where we were certain there are more trigs!

Worth Stopping if you go past the trig to the lookout! The trig itself is a bit overgrown A nice coastal driveby which is at the track-head of a great GC cache, Dude's Yonder. Have a go at that, its a top short walk! Found while out on a quick Lunch Break Cache today
