Description
Trig point located on top of the water tower in Goonellabah
This Trig Point if located high up on this water tower in Wyreema Ave, Goonellabah. Its is a very tall water tank compared to other in the area. It is also located right in the middle of a residential area. The house next door is within a few metres of the base of the tower.
Logs
one of several trigs we found whilst exploring the area

The 2nd Trig visit on today’s southern adventure. I don’t like geocaching near houses so it was a quick image taken and on to the next one.
Thanks for the cache.

After a pleasant Christmas morning with family it was time to go caching. I joined a Dragonzone clan on Boxing Day last year so I was keen to earn the Celebration Day Christmas Day trophy. I found the Goonellabah Trig Point with Moogiechew. There were quite a few people nearby celebrating in their front yard. A quick visit and onwards to find another cache.
Perfect afternoon for finding caches. Walked around both towers before finding the right one. Dressed in Christmas clothing for the outing.
Walked around the wrong tower for a bit, but found it in the end! A nice little Christmas activity
Third trig for the day on my trip from Casino to Tweed Heads and return via Ballina.

We enjoy a water tank trig.. they make a good landmark. Found the trig once we got to the right side of the rubber tree. Should be some good breeze up there.

#GA2704 - 16:45; Day four of the 2018 Oz GeoMuster mission with Sol de lune. After leaving the Mega yesterday afternoon and caching our way to Taree where we spent the night at a local caravan park, the plan for today was to cache our way north past Port Macquarie, then through Kempsey, Macksville, Urunga, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Casino, Lismore and into Ballina in preparation for some caching around Byron and the Tweed before setting sail south again for home. Although not part of the original itinerary, I was able to collect a few more caches in Taree, which Sdl had picked up on previous visits. On our way in to Grafton, we saw that there were traffic delays near Woodburn which we might get caught up in if we stuck to the highway, so after finishing our caching mission there we decided to continue along Summerland Way through to Casino instead. After collecting a couple of trigs in Casino, it was through to Lismore and a couple of trigs, including this one. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Day 4 of a trek along the NSW coast to Tweed Heads after attending the Morisset event with LuckyL10n. Another day with lots of trigs grabbed...along with the odd traditional or two.
No problem with the find here and the required photo was soon snapped.
Thanks for another trig.....

Another quick find.
There's not much room on the top of this Hill. Everyone wants a bit of it. Water, telecommunications, and of course locals looking for a view over town.
And now cachers coming for a find!
Good to get a look around the backstreets if a town and get a feel for it.

0915 Finally got the required photos, after unsuccessfully trying last night after the Goonellabah 15th year Geocaching Birthday Event.
Nice to see another reservoir trig 'in use'. Will also post a 1 year Unloved Trig entry, and see if I can get it listed as Water Reservoir on Waymarking.
Interesting water level 'meter' hanging down the side of the reservoir!

Been a bit of a slacker with this one. Been meaning to get up there to take the photo and log the trig for some times, but it seems like there's no urgency with trigpoints. They don't tend to go missing and get archived as much as geocaches.
Thanks for adding this one to the database, Waldenclan!

Been going to do this one myself for ages. It is quite close to home. BUT Walden Clan beat me to it. This spurred me to go and do it myself though. Called in on the way home from work this arvo.
