I've been looking at this one for such a long time and saw some time at the end of my caching trip to detour for it. The hike up was not to strenuous, even with my bike. I was surprised to find a modern trig, as I was expecting an old pile of rocks. I was also surprised to find the pin in the middle of the rocks. Bonus!

Sophoutloud and I needed an excuse to get out of the house so we decided to drive 'Bells Line' to Lithgow and grab a few trigs on the way through. We managed to grab 13 across the day to bump up our trig count significantly. we had a great day out and most of the trigs we found were in great conditions, some even looked like they had a new coat of paint. We managed to drive most of the way up to this one in the 4wd but decided to walk the last 100m as the track was a little scratchy. Trig has a new coat of paint

Out collecting some trigs on our way to Lithgcow, we thought we might have to do some walking into this one which we were ok with. But turns out a 4WD was all you needed and luckily we packed ours today! Could drive right to the trig sight! So good to see it in such good condition as well. It looks like it’s just had a new coat of paint!

I drove to this trig within kissing distance – took photos with my car camera also – I extremely loved the trip out here today & went onto the end of the track to do a couple of caches – many thanks again Clan Griffin

I must have put this log book for 2017 aside, and started 'afresh' on my new one, and forgotten to log this find.
The note is, I parked ~840 metres 'north' of the Trig, at S33 29.426 E150 12.436.
Found the Trig at 2145, Friday, 29 December, on my way out to Rogerw3 cache. I was back to my car by 2255, and then headed off to do another cache. A nice little night-time adventure. Nice to see a clean Trig. I also got a selfie on the way back to the car, at 2237.
While I had logged the Find on Waymarking just a few days after (after a trip to Bermagui for a CITO Event), this was forgotten on GCA.

An unexpected trig!

We walked straight past this one on our way to two of Roger's new caches, without noticing it. But bikerbuddy spotted it on our walk back to the car.

Vanes a bit damaged by the October 2013 fire, but overall trig is in fine condition.

I loved this walk in the mist. There were a lot of little birds flitting about in one spot which was good to see. Lots of pretty amazing rocks and cliffs near here, not sure where the road goes to.

On a misty morning we parked at the track junction and walked along the good firetrail. The bush looked great, all the underbrush had been burnt so it was very clear looking through the trees. Everything has lots of bright new green growth and heaps of little plants coming up everywhere. We heard a lyrebird singing his heart out as we walked along. What a great trig too, in such great condition.

Today I came back WITH the camera, along with rogerw3 and pjmpjm.

Found deep in the bush together with rogerw3 and Team Canary on an all-day geocaching expedition in the Lithgow area.

I've come to really like trigs -- especially the old and remote ones -- and it was a pleasure to find this one in pretty good condition, together with its 'vanes' and front plaque.

Hard to believe that this spot was once visible from far away.

Can you believe I walked past this on the way to VIEW3-38 Clarence and View3-40 Hartley and I left my camera at home!?!

I shall return.

Lovely walk along the track, This station is now well obscured by trees, I can only imagine that this was not the case when it was put there.
