I wonder why I haven’t found this many years ago – well today was the day – my oma – opa grandparents used to live in Riches Ave so as a small kid I used to walk up this way & ride my bike up here – much has changed in 40 – 50 years ago – a nice visit – many thanks

Another find on our visit to the Blue Mountains from the Hunter Valley area, TFTC
Heading home after a couple of hours of trig and various trad cache hunting. This is one of those ones we always spot from the highway but can never stop.... nice to finally bag it.

I have driven past these so many times & never been able to stop to get a photo, but today Geodaughter was there & took a shot every time I yelled "there's another one!"

Photographed this trig on our way down the Mountains this afternoon. Managed to find a clear spot between the trees. TFTT
#GA2525 - 14:10; Day two of a caching run to the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After making our way through to Katoomba yesterday, the plan for today is to head a bit further west as far as Mount Victoria before heading east again through Medlow Bath, Katoomba (again), Leura, Wentworth Falls, Hazelbrook and Woodford, before heading on to the Sydney International Equestrian Centre at Horsley Park for some new caches, then hit the road for home. After some wandering in the bush near Mount Victoria we were well on our way east again. We made our way through Hazelbrook and a prearranged meeting with alnic39 and after parting company we had now reached Woodford where I grabbed a snap of this trig which Sdl had bagged on a previous visit. Gee, trying to get photos of the Blue Mountains trigs is like clay target shooting! As you can tell from this pic, we weren't giving up easily. Admittedly it didn't always work, the Boddington trig photo was of an astonished motorist and an unseeable trig behind a bush....

Love caching in the Blue Mountains, returning for now third time in a year; being escorted by a mate and introducing him to geocaching.
Visiting from Perth WA, this time here to attend UPW event at Olympic Park.

My 7th GA find for the morning and second trig point.
Drove to a convenient place to park and take a happy snap of the trig on a water tower

For a number of years I've seen these but couldn't get them. Either I've been driving or it's been dark. Today however was a different story. Hopefully I've linked the right photo to the right trig. A quick drive by photo. A bit of a distance shot unfortunately.
Found on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Sol de Lune. While driving on the highway, we spotted this trig - so we pulled off the road onto a side street, so that we could take a photo from a distance. TFTC GCA!

2nd Trig visited on a cold mornings walk today. Shame one cannot get to the top - be good views from up there.
We found it quite easy to get near this trig point so that the obligatory photo could be take. The photo added to the Gallery is a composite of two images: the first shows one of us with the trig point marker on the reservoir in the background; the second image is a closer view of the trig point marker.
Managed to nab this one while crawling past in the traffic on the way home from the event!
On the way to Sydney for family and work commitments and just enough spare time to grab a trig or 2 on the way.

thanks from the team from Canberra, found with Aliba and Tankengine on our GCA power trail weekend.
This trip was planned from when the trail was published, but it took till now to get a common free weekend. Most of the caches were simple and well placed. A few were more difficult. The places visited were interesting and all in all Mtrax, Tankengine and I had a great time, even if a bit wet and foggy at times.
Thanks

While dropping of geodaughter to her Grams, I decided to do a few caches around the mountains. This Trig was well in my sights and easy to drive close to via the road.

Last caching/trig stop for the day after a great day out inthe Blue Mt's. Lots of gnomes/trigs/windmills found that made for a great out.

Another roof top trig on a water tower, this seems to be the norm for the mountains this morning. We took our picture from the highway for this one
Heading back through the Mountains today, and starting to get a little confused by all the water tanks with trigs on them! This was the last trig to find for the day.

We did a few mid-upper Mountains caches today & tried to find as many of the trig stations as we could along the way. This was our first for the day.
On way to Blackheath for the night.
Intersting... TP on the tank..
Never seen anything like this before..

Took me a while to get a decent viewing angle on this trig. I now see that my photo is a bit embarrassing when compared to rogerw3's excellent shot (although I was a lot closer to the trig than my picture seems to indicate). My only excuse is that it was raining and I gradually lost my usual picture-taking enthusiasm after a long afternoon of geocaching!

Mona Trig... by Night. I accidently bollocksed my GCA Geostreak yesterday by snapping an FB Holden instead of an FJ for the locationless so this trig isnt as important as I thought as at the time I found it it was maintaining said streak and now is not 96th GCA log though!

It has to be one of the most beautiful places in Australia -
Looking out across the valleys beside the highway.
A very enjoyable location

All these Trigs look the same so had to make notes to identify each one such as yellow shed.

This was the end part of a run while in Oberon with HomeDG and SherpaNT for the Oberon event and a caching blitz in the region.
There are a lot of "drive by" trigs in the Katoomba area so we challenged ourselves with how many we could spot.

Q: why are there different coloured trig heads (white, black and even red?)
