Another find on our visit to the Blue Mountains from the Hunter Valley area, TFTC
Did an afternoon drive & completed some trigs – I call this 2 for the $ of 1 visit. Parked at water tower & took shots from boundary fence. thanks

I have driven past these so many times & never been able to stop to get a photo, but today Geodaughter was there & took a shot every time I yelled "there's another one!"

We had to divert in here for a nearby GC cache, and noted there were trigs nearby, we found one of them.....

It's possible to drive up to this trig. A great view also. TFTC.

#GA2929 - 12:10; The original plan was to head west to collect a few zones for Sol de lune and I to complete the caching centroid mission, but with the announcement of big bonus points, the plan was changed and we are headed to the Blue Mountains instead. On the way from Faulconbridge to Linden when we stopped for me to grab a snap of this trig, having been too far past on a couple of prior visits. Sdl had logged this one before, so it was just me grabbing a snap today. Nice circular drive of sorts helped us to get in and out quickly. TFTC Geocaching Australia

MrT and I drove to the base of this water tank last week on the way to Katoomba, but couldn't see the trig from there. Today I was heading back down the Mountains and was able to pull over in a small area and take a quick photo.
In the area and found a spot to park and looked for a vantage point to take a snap shot

Heading down the hill for a day's caching we paused on the way to take a snap of this one.
For a number of years I've seen these but couldn't get them. Either I've been driving or it's been dark. Today however was a different story. Hopefully I've linked the right photo to the right trig. A quick drive by photo. Unfortunately a bit far off but the closer photo I took had the trig hiding behind a tree.
Out for a MTB ride...another trig for the collection.

Well, the trig is there, not that you can see it from up close. Didn't want to stop on the highway as others have done though.

This one is easy to spot as you are heading to Sydney but of course there's nowhere to stop. Heading west though I pulled up in the little driveway there and walked up. Thought it might be another where I couldn't see the vanes but walked back up onto the rock at the top of the driveway and spotted the red vanes.

Seen often enough on a run downhill, but passed before a stop can be taken ... this time, with another driver ... a quick into roadside park and out with the camera.

Coming down from a upper mountain caching trip. Finally stopped at this one. Seen it so many times before. TFTT.
Seen from the highway while returning home from Katoomba!

Past this many times and even been up to the area of this trig once. Easy to see from may places
Spotted on the home from our epic caching weekend in the Bluey's

a trick approach by car for this one but the might outback got us up the steep track with easy only a little slipage due to the rain, but unfortunately as we so close it made it difficult to see the Trig, but we took a picture as best as we could, thanks from the team from Canberra, found with Aliba and Tankengine on our GCA power trail weekend.
This trip was planned from when the trail was published, but it took till now to get a common free weekend. Most of the caches were simple and well placed. A few were more difficult. The places visited were interesting and all in all Mtrax, Tankengine and I had a great time, even if a bit wet and foggy at times.
Thanks

This was an easy one to see going up the mountains, but nowhere to park. So on the way down I was able to stop safely off the road and snap some pics.

Finally noticed a safe place by the highway to stop & photograph this one this morning on my home from a quick caching trip to Woodford . Then realised that my camera was sitting at home on the charger, so I had to make do with the iphone to take the photos .
On the way to visit our sister in law place from Blue Mountain.
Caught red TP on top... unusual these red.. usually black..
Thanks

Only took one driveby Trig today as I had a muggle friend on board and they are not overly interesting... but still good to knock one off! Thought about claiming the Water Tower Locationless too but this isnt "Tower" enough... more "Tank" haha

Another rainy visit to this Linden trig. Surprised to find a red one! Again, my photo pales beside rogerw3's close-up. But I was much closer to the trig than my iPhone photo indicates.

An attractive trig sitting on a very large water tank. I took the photo from the Linden railway station for dramatic effect. There is another red trig on the South Coast near Gerringong.

This was the end part of a run while in Oberon with HomeDG and SherpaNT for the Oberon event and a caching blitz in the region.
There are a lot of "drive by" trigs in the Katoomba area so we challenged ourselves with how many we could spot.

Q: why are there different coloured trig heads (white, black and even red?)

While having a family day in Sydney we took a photo of this one to satisfy the caching urges.
Found while walking around Linden. Strangely this trig is red instead of the usual black, I just wonder if this is just rustproof undercoat and the black paint has just peeled off!
