Logs
A quick departure from the highway and we found this trig, then off through to Glenbrook the back way, to miss a pair of trads....

This trig has been on our to do list for a while, but because of the extreme heat we have been having for the last 2 months, we have been putting it off. MrT decided to do a walk from Knapsack to Marges Lookout and then home today so I dropped him at the Carpark. Usually I would have walked to this trig from there but too hot for me so I drove down further then out to the Great Western Hwy. Parked nearby and an easy photo. I was glad to get back in the car to the airconditioning
A nice find for New Year’s Day, the art work on tower is very impressive, a good job done to it, nice easy trig completed, thanks

I don't know how many times I have driven past this local road and reservoir, not realising that there is a Trig Point here.
I have been 'holding back' on the logging of my visits to Benchmark Waymarks, as I had wanted my number of Trigs to remain higher, so I had better get on to finding some more that are already Posted. So it was only on lat logging of visits to the waymarks here that I realised that is posted under the Benchmark category was actually an Australian Trig Point.

Found on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Sol de Lune. We were on our way to the BMPT cache here, however we discovered that this trig was right there for us to discover. A quick photo and then we were off again. TFTC GCA!

Looking for a waypoint for Sleepy's Legacy we couldn't pass up a trig, even if a water tank trig. Unfortunately we missed the nearby GCa cache in our haste.
Waiting to do a nearby Multi and decided take a picture and finally log it. Been here twice before and didn't realise it was just up there. TFTC.

On a trig run for the geosportz Heptathlon event today with strike-a-light. This one was nice and easy to get a photo

Today was our second day caching in the Blue Mountains area. Our prime focus was still the Blue Mountains Power Trail although we did search for some other caches as well. We found this trig point quite easily. The photo added to teh Gallery is a composite of two images: the first shows one of us in front of the reservoir with the trig marker on top; the second is a closer view of the trig marker.
GCA 346 - 4689. Sol de Lune and I attempted the Blue Mountains Power Trail this weekend - along with other GC, GCA and trigs caches - a great couple of days !!
The first of many trigs found this trip !

This trip was planned from when the trail was published, but it took till now to get a common free weekend. Most of the caches were simple and well placed. A few were more difficult. The places visited were interesting and all in all Mtrax, Tankengine and I had a great time, even if a bit wet and foggy at times.
Thanks

doing the BM power trail and couldn't resist the trig, TE and Aliba took to photos, and noticed the no swimming sign, but not even warm enough to even think of swimming today but it would be dangerous who would what to swim there anyway?
found with the team Albida and Tankengine on our weekend trip to Blue Mountains

I did this trig some time ago while I was acc accompanying Toriaz and her daughter for her find for Fun for Shorties. Thanks
On a mission in the area for a series, I drove around the bend and as a bonus, found this Trig. I parked right next to it and snapped a few pics. Nice easy one.

This was a surprise find today - I was headed to Glenbrook & took this exit from the GWH just on a whim because I'd never driven down this way. Rounded a corner & there was a water tank complete with a trig. Just had to pull over & log this one. Although it can clearly be seen from the cleared area close to the road, you can also walk around this one & get better views from the other sides of the tank.
Quite a low water tank compared to others I've seen. But a good spot to get a photo of from many spots surrounding.
On way to Blackheath for the night.
Nice to stretch out my legs and have had trouble to find TP... didnt realise its on top of the tank..
never see it before anywhere other state (qld and vic)
Thanks

I stopped by Governors Road on my way back to Leura from the NSW Geocaching Xmas Party at Lake Parramatta Reserve. I thought I'd log this new trig and also try to find the nearby GC cache.
The water reservoir is hard to miss as soon as you exit off the Great Western Highway and the trig is easy to see and photograph.
Will upload my required photo.
The fire trail to the right of the reservoir leads to an old railway cutting and is well worth exploring.
I'll award 'Three Thumbs Up' for the fun of exploring the old cutting.

With an extened lunch and work in the lower mountains, this was a nice little park and grab. I had been here very early in my caching for a multi.
Found this interesting Trig Station while checking out a couple caches in the area and taking photos of the old railway cutting. Walked in from Lapstone station and now going to Glenbrook with a detour to the Emu Reservoir Trig Station.
