Description

TS 2958 Mangoplah Trig

A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.

Seeing how I had a day off and there are some new caches awaiting the FTF’s down in Henty, I decided on asking AngusnmumyAdventures and LilDonnasAdventure to try for some joint FTF’s. Big Grin We started the day off by driving along some back roads so AMA and LDA could make some finds, which I have already found and then headed to the new caches. We made two FTF’s Big Grin and found some other caches along the way back to Wagga. We stopped for lunch at the Uranquinty Bakery which was delicious. Big Grin TB Visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s for taking the time to place the caches we found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to us and others. Big Grin TFTC’s Smile

There is a caching event today, well why not make a full caching day out of it with a bit of shopping included. Big Grin I started the day by telling work that I wasn’t available at all and then I decided on where I wanted to cache. Well seeing how I have found the caches North, South and Central areas around ‘The Rock’, I decided on heading East this time and finding some of the historic caches around Livingstone National Park. TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them. Big Grin
Today’s totals:
Big Grin 17 Finds (1 Event, 14 GC and 2 GCA)
Sad 1 DNF

After lunch, I made my way out to this Trig-Point and made an easy find. TFTTP

Found what's left of the mast and vanes. Could not see any sign of the cairn because of the long grass.
