Filling in time before heading back to pick up MrT I spotted this trig. Worked out how to get there and when I got closer saw it was a closed off area. However with my camera I was able to zoom in and get a photo. With that done I headed back in to Penrith. TFTC
Completed this 1 for the Christmas in July 2017 game series – looked this 1 up & as a trig this is as easy as they come – come, park & take the photos – how easy is that – so a BIG tick for me.

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1294 - 14322 overall cache finds.
Found while heading home to Canberra today during a work trip up in the Penrith region. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especially the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !
The trig was quickly 'found'. Piccie taken and posted. Trig on a water tank !!
Thanks Geocaching Australia !

The area around the trig on the water tank is out of bounds, but this can be easily photographed from the gate.

a park and shoot from just outside the security fence. Trig can be seen atop the tank

The sign says Do Not Enter....but you can easily grab a photo from the fence/gate....

Got a suspicious look from one of the locals as I drove towards this one. Oh well, you live your life mate, and I'll live mine.

Like a beacon in the night, or a sore thumb! An easy to sight on approach.

Out for a nice walk from Kingswood station, got to this nice Trig, which I had just seen from the Orchard Hills trig, 2.5 km as the Kookaburra flies, longer if you walk!
I did have a very interested neighbor looking over my shoulder, but he did not want to talk to me.

An easy trig to spot as you approach via the Chase. I'd hoped to get a better view from the other side, but those locked gates dissuaded me from trying.
Another red trig, easily seen on top of the reservoir as you approach via The Chase, off Wentworth Road. I got as close as I could before my view disappeared beneath the end of the reservoir. An easy one.
