Our last stop for the day, the two trigs at the end of the road here. We found the two trads as we went - they need more light!

Sophoutloud and I needed an excuse to get out of the house so we decided to drive 'Bells Line' to Lithgow and grab a few trigs on the way through. We managed to grab 13 across the day to bump up our trig count significantly. we had a great day out and most of the trigs we found were in great conditions, some even looked like they had a new coat of paint. These towers are always hard to get a photo of when you get up close nice and easy drive on gravel to get down here

I feel like you should be able to see this giant structure from a mile away, but I suppose that’s the point. So close to lithe town but the drive here took a couple of minuits worth it though lovely view. Now on to get the near buy trig!

Drove to the gate & took the shots – another nice location - thanks

Serious... this is a one way track? And 2 of the lookouts are closed! Ah well, got one of two trigs here - a tall triangle tower in a triangle fence. Not going to brave the bush on my own in this heat so the other can wait for another day.
Found this trig while in the Hassan Walls region. Just been to VIEW 3-35, with a DNA on a nearby cache, and thought I'd get a couple of trigs, which I am SURE that I hadn't found back in the 1980s. Found @ 1640, on my way to Bracey TP

The first of the day with trigs and rogerw3 caches on various Lithgow hilltops.
An easy drive to - well, would be better when the road to the lookout is graded - and a park at the gates beside the reservoir.
Limited view ...but a view nonetheless.

There seems to be no getting close to this one. I did try, but...

Headed up the hill further from Bracey trig for a quick find. You can't really miss it. A fire has been through and burned a lot of the survey pegs but there's no new fence.

I'd been here several times before and never realised this was a designated trig! I wonder why they decided to make this a trig? Obviously it can be seen from a very long way off from almost anywhere but what's it used for these days I wonder?
Found together with rogerw3, GazMag, blossom* and Strike-a-light on a trig hunting and caching expedition to Lithgow!
This tower was designated TS10220 by the NSW Department of Lands, so is a valid trig, like any other with a concrete pedestal and vanes.
An extra 'Thumbs Up' for the great company!

As soon as I got the coords for this Trig Point, I knew exactly where and what it was. No chance of missing this one all you need is look to the top of the hill, but it is a lovely walk up to the tower compound.
