I handed SSR my phone and got him to take a picture while we were stopped at the traffic lights. We were not quick enough down the road for the channel 2 tower.

#GA762 - 15:25; Sol de lune and I had decided that double points month made a flying day trip to Sydney to grab some more trigs and perhaps a GeGnome or two a worthwhile adventure. An itinerary was hastily prepared and today was to be the day. We had completed a good part of the prepared itinerary, but it had been a bit ambitious, so we decided to abandon it at this stage and collect as many caches in the Willoughby and North Sydney areas before heading back across the bridge for a few more southside on the way home. This one was easily spotted and just as easily snapped. TFTC Geocaching Australia

I was in the area caching after the office Christmas Party, and happened to spot this one less than 20m away, so decided to take a snapshot. TFTT
Drove past this on our way out of sydney and managed a photo. Thanks for the cache
Snapping this tower trig from the lights was easy enough, but I got a green when close tot he reservior, so missed the daily-double on this spot.
Still, I have a cache to find there next time....

Driving back to the office today grabbed this one while waiting at the lights on Mowbray Road. The dark thing in the bottom left is the iPhone with the cache info in Geosphere on it.
I drove down to Chatswood after work this evening and photographed the television communications tower (designated TS10114 by the NSW Department of Lands) from near the 'PermaPatch' GC geocache GZ.
It was a nice spot and I could clearly see the silvery-gray tower lit by its red lights.
This was intended to be a test of my new 'high resolution' iPhone 4 camera, that had failed me so miserably when I visited the 'Matthews' trig in Windsor at midnight!
(The nifty iPhone 4 also allows you to take a picture of yourself, while actually seeing yourself and the background in the view finder! Admittedly, this function is more suitable for pretty girls and romantic couples than crusty old geocachers, but I thought it might be useful in taking the required pictures of GCA trigs.)
How will these photos turn out? Check the gallery and see!

Another cache on the Hwy. Easy to spot and easier to take a pic. Pulled into a street and could still see the tower. Cool!

While looking for the lost trig Carvossa I snapped a photo of this monstrous tower. The most elaborate trig in the Southern Hemisphere!
I hunted and I hunted; where is the trig spot? Eventually read the log and realised it was very high up!
It would be hard to miss that one, it can be seen from over 50 miles away (if you are in the right location!). The very top of the tower is the Trig Point. No problem getting the right photo here.
