Travelling around Greater Sydney collecting LGAs and this is for another. I can't believe that this road is still a single lane in each direction. It is no better than when I was a kid. TFTT Geocaching Australia

#GA2616 - 13:45; Day one of the 2018 Oz Geomuster mission with Sol de lune. Today was planned to be an easy day travelling to the Mega site in Morisset via a few dragonZones in the Sydney metropolitan region before getting amongst the Easter traffic heading north along the freeway. After our first stop in Balgowlah, the GPSr had us headed out along a different route than we had originally planned. After we collected four 'bonus' trigs, we were now back on track along our planned route. This trig wasn't part of the original plan, but we spotted it when we drove past, so stopped off to snap this one and another nearby on our way back past. Day one of an Easter trip with LuckyL10n to the 2018 Morisset Mega. Headed up via the northern beach suburbs of Sydney to grab a few trigs and dragonZones along the way.

No problems with this one and the trig was soon spotted...not that you can miss it!!

Another trig and another dragonZone crossed off. Thanks for the fun....

Stopped to get both, but there were workers here, so the trig will have to wait for another day. A quick shot of both towers was all i could do.

While I had found the nearby Pittwater trig many years ago, I am sure that this particular mast wasn't there in 1984.
So stopped by while in Sydney for a 40 year class reunion, and took a photo, or two.

After a work meeting at Kimbriki I had an opportunity to find this trig. Nothing to say that hasn't been said already. Found at 4:25 pm.

This was the easy one. Not sure which but I suppose it doesn't matter. Just one for the list, the otter nearby is much better!

A quick drive by whilst exploring this part of Sydney.

With an early morning visit to Mona Vale this morning, I hoped the timetable would have allowed me to grab a few of these on the way back towards the office. Unluckily it wasn't to be so I just stopped and grabbed this easy one to get a cache back on the northside after yesterday's ones down south. Be a nice easy rung along here to get a few quick finds though!

As the original finders of the nearby Pittwater trig it was a surprise to find that the radio tower/mobile mast was also a trig. Which one? There are two here, one for Telstra and one for Optus I think. Anyway we were finally back in the area today and grabbed shots of both.
Not very exciting this sort of trig but for the sake of completeness...

25-May-11
Another pair of trigs - the mast top is the trig, so now disc, though today there was room for error due to the sway in the tower in the high wnds.

Buzzzzzzz... ahhh the radiation!!!

13-Apr-11
Logged with rogerw3 towards the beginning of our big trig hunting expedition in the area.

Wish all trigs were as easy to find as this one!

By comparison, the Pittwater Trig (hidden in thick bush but nearby) quite difficult.

Also found a NSW State Survey Permanent Marker across Mona Vale Road.

Anyhow, an unusual trig. The antenna on the top of this mast was designated an official trig and given its own 'TS Number' by the NSW Department of Lands.

Found today with pjmpjm, second Trig of the day. No great challenge in finding this one as it is visible from a long way away, just follow the service track to the fenced compound and you are there. Still it is a very nice area and there is another Trig station very close by.
