We headed out along Tableland Rd this morning for a trig feast, plus a side of a pair of GC caches, in freezing conditions. With an air temperature of 6 degrees and some howling winds, it felt like zero or less, and I wished I'd bought my gloves! We fussed around a bit here, the kids were a bit spooked by the private property signs, but a google check turned up that walking access is OK, so we headed up the middle track and up the little rocky hill. Nice trigs....

Out in the beautiful weather with Outdoornut22 we decided to head for the mountains and I'm glad we did because I love the view! a bit interesting to find the trail that leads to this trig we weren't sure if we were about to be tress passing. Then on the way back to the car we stumbled across a very interesting aboriginal site, and loved the rock in this area. what a cool find and really not that far off the side of the road. wow also thank you to whoever had taken the time to keep this trig in such great condition! so good.

Sophoutloud and I decided we had to make use of the beautiful day the weekend had provided us and after a bit of deliberation on the Geocaching Australia map we decided that Kings Tableland would be a good day outing to somewhere we hadn't been in a while with the bonus of being able to get 7 trigs and a virtual. All the Trigs we found were in great condition and most were tidy and well painted. walking trough the bush up here was pretty easy at the moment as there is still no undergrowth although it is pretty sad to see the many trees have been damaged to an extent that they were really struggling to shoot out sprouts and keep growing. these 2 trigs are both nicely painted and it is really worth checking out the nearby Indigenous site if you are into that.

After a drive out to McMahons Point and doing the trigs and virtuals out there, we were heading to the GW Hwy when we decided to do a side trip to look for the 2 trigs here. After parking nearby but making sure the driveways were clear, we headed along the small track between the 2 private properties. Arrived at GZ to find both trigs near each other. TFTT

I did an early morning run to the end of Kings Tableland Road to McMahon's Point and Battleship Tops. I was last time down this way in April 2015 and I had some unfinish trigs to do that in 2015 I looked at and noted some information on them. I even kept the paperwork on these trigs. So today it was time to complete these trigs along this road. It was a coolish November day which was good as it helped in achieving the find. Back in 2015 I also went down to Ingar campground to enjoy the area and have a cuppa and a bite to eat. I didn’t complete these trigs back then so today was the day to complete the two off trigs here. As I like to call it two for the price of one visit. To my disgust and displeasure the Ingar Road is closed with a gate and sign its private property and you are being filmed. So, I parked on along the road and did the short walk to trigs. I have looked over the photos from earlier years to now from other cache people and it is very nice to see in 2016 some time they did some maintenance and a good coat of paint here, very nice to see that. Once I got home, I did some research about Ingar Road and camp ground. From the new soust wales national parks web site this is the information found.
Closed areas: Ingar campground closed
Ingar campground and Ingar Road are closed to vehicle access due to private property building works. The closure is indefinite because it relates to access through the private property. No opening date can be advised. NPWS apologises for any inconvenience caused.
Ingar Road and Ingar campground can still be accessed by walkers and cyclists.
Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, call the NPWS Blue Mountains Heritage Centre on 02 4787 8877 or visit the NSW National Parks safety page for park safety guidelines.
Ingar campground is in the Wentworth Falls area of Blue Mountains National Park. There's no vehicle access to this campground at this time. To get there:
Turn off the Great Western Highway at Wentworth Falls at Tableland Road, Drive for 1.6km, then turn left onto Elizabeth Drive. The Ingar fire trail starts at the end of Queen Elizabeth Drive. You'll need to park on Queen Elizabeth Drive and walk or cycle around 9.5km along Ingar trail, taking the left fork near the end of the trail.
So that’s the story and I’m not happy about it. Another camp ground lost to vehicles close to Sydney.
Back to trig it was nice to finally complete this trig – thanks again

Out on a trig run this morning and snared 6 a couple of which will be used for the summer scavenge series.
After a false start returned to the car and found the right path to get to the trig. Good views from here.

Found on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Sol de Lune. After parking nearby, we walked up the hill and bush bashed a bit to get these two trigs. Awesome that there are two distinctive trigs right next to each other. Nice views as well. TFTC GCA!

Found with Toy Hunters during our time in the area....
Easy to spot once we got to the top. No views today as the rain had sort of set in.

Decidedly legless after Andersons' Scooter, with bisygisy angling for another cache for the day, pushed the GeoReindeer down the side road for this Trig. bisygisy eventually came to see not only the Trig, but a closer march to his elusive century. Grand, if distant, views from the Kings Table trig.

After a long walk down the Andersons Firetrail it was decided by whitemushroom this trig was a good one to increase my GCA count which is fast approaching a hundred. TFTT.
My 5th (& final) trig of the day, and the most interesting of the 5. It's nice to find the ones that you can walk right up to. This one was at the end of a track, apart from getting a bit wet from the wet scrub that is overgrowing the track, no problems at all getting to this one.
I had another date to knock off the calendar, so even after dusk I went for a quick bush walk for an easy find.
Another excellent prediction by rogerw3. Working from his old topo maps, he calculated this trig's position off the end of Queen Elizabeth Drive in Wentworth Falls to within 2 metres.
We reached the site in mid afternoon on a dreary and rainy day but, after a short walk, were delighted to see the pedestal (minus post and vanes) sitting above what would normally have been a beautiful view.
Side name plaque was intact so we knew we'd found the correct trig.
Lo and behold! There was also an unnumbered NSW State Survey Marker (SS) positioned only about a metre from the pedestal.
'Three Thumbs Up' for the view and the excitement of a new trig.

Out for a short drive with pjmpjm, trig hunting in the Wentworth Falls area. Found this one down Tableland Road at the end of Queen Elizabeth Drive.
The concrete pedestal is in great shape with the plaque intact. The mast and vanes have gone missing, great views from there.
