MrT and I looked for this trig a few weeks ago from Church lane, and with the building going on there, couldn't see anything.
Today I was driving along Castlereagh Road towards Richmond, and pulled over before the new Penrith Beach entry. It is a 40kph section atm while they sort out the Beach entrance. Perfect spot to see the trig through the trees.
Photos taken, and headed on TFTT

Having travelled north to hu t down some GC Challenge caches, I am making my way back south using g trig stations as my guide. Thanks for publishing them Geocaching Australia.
On a trip into Penrith – took a slight detour to complete this 1 – took photo from main road but with a light sprinkle the photo didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to – thanks again

Thanx to those who unarchived this one. I came looking for it last year as I saw it on the archived map, but from Church Lane I came across and suspicious and quite unfriendly landowner. I could not spot it from his boundary fence, so assumed it was destroyed. I checked again from Church Lane today, after I got the shot from Castlereagh Rd, but it's not visible.

A busy day searching for a bunch of finds in the penrith area! We figured out that you could see this one along the main road! Seen from the passenger window, but we stopped in attempt to get a better photo. Good day iut

Out trigging with Sophoutloud today on a mission to take over Penrith. It was a beautiful warm day and we were surprised how many of these trigs had survived the urban expansion of Penrith. They were all found in varying conditions from as perfect as the day they were built to pretty broken and covered in graffiti. This one had been archived previously but we were able to see it from Castlereagh road and stopped and got an ok photo, so thought we would unarchive and log.

Seems a few people have logged this since being archived and you can see it from Castlereagh Road so I’m going to unarchive this one
Even though this is archived I drove by, and luckily there was a local walking his dog I could talk to. Property owned by 'Penrith Lakes' after it had been 'sand' and gravel mined about 50 years. The fluviometer is readily seen from the road, but the trig is hidden by the tall grass.
Trust my (backup) camera to have the batteries go flat after right next to it. No name plate, but concrete pedestal otherwise intact.

Trig number 7 of 7 for today's 23km walk from Penrith via Cranebrook and Castlereagh then back to Penrith station
While this is fenced off, the paddock is not being used, and indeed there is a pluviometer in the middle that gets inspected very regularly, the very top of the Trig is indeed visible from Church Lane. The mast has been broken off exposing the stainless steel location plug. The vanes have been saved and stored behind the chain link fence surrounding the pluviometer.
Now to get back to Penrith station.
