Enjoying a quite afternoon as we make our way home. Called in to have a look at the dam and spotted the trigger.
Was this way on a Friday so it was nice & quiet – took the shot – need to come back on a weekend - thanks

Saw it while in the Warragamba Dam area. Birdwatching too! Then headed in to the Visitors Centre to see what area was accessible. Told the people there what I was planning on doing. They were fascinated. They didn't know what a trig was. Looked at my photo of this trig and said they hadnt really noticed it! Then they gave me a brochure and said where I was allowed to walk. Proved to be a good day to go looking. Pedestrian gate to the dam opened at 10am. It was starting to get hot but, but still worth it. TFTT

First of a handful of trig finds while out exploring Waragamba Dam today with the family. A quick and easy find while taking the steps down towards the dam wall. Snapped the required photos - see attached.
We had a great morning out here exploring the area. Make sure you go into the visitors centre, what a great kid friendly set up they have. The geokiddies loved it and we enjoyed learning about the history of this place.
Thanks for the trig Geocaching Australia.

Well I thought I was picking up a few caches on my way to an event in Warragamba, turned out I was a day early, but it was a great day to find a few caches & I picked up a few trigs too. Couldn't get to many because the roads are all locked and fenced off.

Driving around the area grabbing as many caches as I can in just a short time. This was #2 And it turned out to be the last of this kind as I was thwarted by the road system. Ughhhhh!

Out caching with ziggiau on this beautiful Boxing Day. We made the area around Warragamba dam unsafe and had a great time! All the best for 2018 for all the COs!
Despite the large amount of trigpoints available on the map here, only this one was captured today.

#GA1357 - 12:30; Doing the 'Tour de Wollondilly' with Sol de lune and andrewbt to collect a few trigs and other bits and pieces. We had now reached Warragamba Dam, where we hoped to bag a dozen or so trigs. This was the first stop and snaps were taken as we headed further down to the viewing platform to try our luck. had a drive down Mulgoa road from Penrith to Warragamba. Stopped at the visitor center and walked to GZ for my happy snap.
also enquired about how I might be able to get closer to some of the others that are in the area but out of bounds

We came to the dam today to see the spill as the dam was at 100% capacity. Surprised to find this fella in his own special fenced off area. Was a great day and many other people had the same idea.

Nice day for Trig hunting and there are a few around Warragamba to look at. Easy find for this one and well looked after. Great views of the dam and a great visitor centre with lots of history.

The family and I spent the day in the area, starting at The Train Shed then a visit to the Dam. After visiting the Visitor's Centre we decided to look at the Lookout, and enroute I noticed this TrigPoint. Nice and clear! TFTT
The viewing platforms are set all round this trig so you couldn't miss it being in the middle of it all. A nice spotting.
Trig number 4 on our Trig hunt with pjmpjm. This one is easily seen from the footpath near the visitor center. The same typical Warragamba construction style concrete pedestal. Nice feature the trig number is on a plaque.

Found this one together with rogerw3 during our afternoon of trig hunting in the Warragamba area. Great to visit Warragamba Dam again, after nearly 35 years . . .

Easily spotted this one from the walkway outside the visitors centre. Base only, no vanes remaining.
We found this one a little away in an true easterly direction from the old listed co-ordinates, which we have edited.
A nice quick photo.
