I walked in from Mount Bouddi (Dingeldei) picnic area with the intention of visiting bouddi trig but this plan was foiled by 6 meter surf swell, so plan b was to visit bombi instead only about a kilometre further along the coast. located a steel pillar and name plate no mast or vanes left very over grown but a easy find.

I really love exploring the Bouddi area. Today was a wonderful day to discover these Bombi area trails. I lived in Copa for 3 years and never got to visit this elusive third point ..til today lol. There were some people camping nearby -in fact I encountered quite a number of folks out here on the trails today. Managed to find the Trig ok, all hidden in scrub as described in previous log. Coords pretty good I thought. Trig is a LOT closer to the edge than I expected. Be careful climbing out and up to it; one slip and it's curtains. I also found a Survey Marker halfway down Third Point Trail (pictured). TFTC, GCA!

I'd found this trig on a map a couple of years ago but I think I waited until rogerw3 came up with good coords before thinking about it. Then I did nothing for a couple of years. Today I was back in the area where I'd been on a biology excursion a mere 30 years ago. Walked the trail from the end of Grahame Drive and took the first left then a right to follow the trail down to GZ. Once there we couldn't see a trig anywhere and bashed around on a few rudimentary tracks until getting out on the rocks and looking back. Spotted the trig post under some thick scrub. We managed to work our way in there to take photos. No plaque and no vanes but a sturdy post. Some great views. Made our way back up the track and walked on to Bouddi trig.
