Found on a trip to Sydney with Joolay and Smittengranny to pick up some old caches - picked some trigs up along the way too. Lovely old trigs - TFTC
I amusingly spent a fair amount of time looking for this only to realise the pillar right in front of me was it. Thanks

We were staying at the Q Station for the weekend, so I just had to check out these trigs. A nice little wander and some great views

On a walk round North Head. Spent ages here looking for nearby cache, but stumbled on this old trig point.

#GA952 - 08:20; I was back in the big smoke with the geohoney for an annual celebration which just happens to coincide with the Vivid Festival. We were staying at the nearby accommodation, so an early morning stroll was in order to try to collect a few caches. This was the third of four trigs for the morning run and again, I took to the bush unnecessarily to get there. I do know the tracks a bit better now though! TFTT Geocaching Australia

The second Trig for today. As per previous logs, only the base and nameplate left. Picked up the nearby cache as well. No views from here but there are lots of other interesting things to see. TFTT.

found on the return journey forgot it was here the first time

This one was hiding on the map...yet it was the biggest base for a trig that I have ever seen.

I had sat on this structure a year ago whilst signing the log for the cache that is right next to it. Little did I know then that it was a trig (or what a trig station was). Found at 8:46 am.

After Obelisk we went back up past the cafe and followed the Gunner's Trail to this one. The only one today we found with a plaque still extant although it does look like someone has tried to remove it. An impressive lump of concrete, I wonder what it looked like in its prime. There's a geocache right near here we realised later.

Was putting my bag down to start hunting for the GC cache when I realised there was a trig plate under it Couldn't have that so snapped a photo before beginning the hunt hehe

Thursday, 16/8/1984, 0955, found in company of Sgt Bell. Had to explain what I was up to so I could get a photo of the trig. Used GR42445686 on Aus Geo 66 to navigate to.

557. Came the easy way around to this one and so glad I decided that FFP could wait an extra 20 minutes so I could get the further 2. As I wandered back from this one I got to see some rangers releasing bandicoots and possums after taking a census. Even managed to watch one of the possums scamper up a tree as I spooked him along the track he had run down when released. Photo turned out crap though.

Out for a long walk in the park today, found this one without any trouble, it is big enough.
The concrete base still has the name plaque attached and still shows the brackets for the tripod frame that used to be there.
Just follow the 'Gunners Walk' and you will find it.

While in Manly for a gig, I was able to do the Gunners walk and find a few trigs and traditional caches.
Well worth the visit to see what this spot was like and how it is now.

Found the old pedestal at the listed co-ordinates. A great walk and view behind the wall!
The co-ordinates where checked on my phone so I'm not sure if they are absolutely correct. But I still found this one in between two paths - the mast and vanes have gone but the lump of concrete is still there with the Quarantine metal label and it looks like someone might have wanted it as it has some deep cuts in it. Its about 5-6 metres away from a new mast with vanes and solar panels.
