Picking up some caches during our brekkie stop at Windsor. Quite an impressive building. The kids are impressed with the number of quick finds in Windsor
headed out with Outdoornut22 to bag a few quick trigs on a very rainy day but we needed to get out of the house. We could see this one from about a km away. makes sense the surveyors used the ready made points available to them

While it was bucketing down with rain today both myself and Sophoutloud needed a good excuse to get out of the house, we plotted some more urban trigs that were close to road ways so we didn't have to spend to much time out in the rain. crazy that they used buildings for trigs but it makes sense as you can see this steeple from a long way away

While in Windsor I realised I was close to this trig. I stopped near it and got the photo from the graveyard. Diolch

#GA2267 - 11:00; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. This was the first trig find for the day and another lovely old church. TFTT Geocaching Australia

GrimRaider and I made this find on our way into Windsor today. I wanted a photo of the Royal Exchange Hotel for the SSS game and grabbed this and a photo of a dove at the same time. Lovely old church. TFTT

Another trig down while exploring Windsor's GCA options. Nice church, worth the stop.

It was a wet and soggy day in Windsor but everything is better when I can get two-for-one - trig plus a physical GC cache.
Down in Sydney, for a class reunion last night at Kirribilli, and now to find a few trigs (and waymarks) on the way home. Lovely spot. Took the photo

Beautiful day for a spot of caching with Lucky1955, alnic39 & phlphotos.
Found my 1000th GC cache, & picked this one up on the way back home.

Have seen this one before, but haven't had the chance to log it. The new GPS is up and running, so going to attempt more of these
Starting to pick more of these off now that they are loaded on my GPS. After a walk and lunch in Windsor it was a quick photo stop before heading home.
there is plenty of history surrounding this church as well as relatives buried here.

Came out to Windsor after work. I love it now the days are getting longer and there is still daylight after work to be able to take photos of trigs. This was an interesting place to come to see.

Finally made my way back to this one. My kids were dancing on the other side of the park, so...let's go caching. I love trigs.

Church spires are usually easy to spot...and this one was no different....

Found my way here by divine intervention it would seem - with St Matthews on my list, but as it turned out, not on the Garman or Navman as planned. With the thought that the Tebbutt trig (also not loaded, but on my list) may be in Tebbutt Street I parked around the corner, to, lo and behold, have St Matthews spire over my shoulder. Well, that was easy
(On a walk along Tebbutt St (the trig is a couple km away), there is also another St Matthews (Catholic) church - in days past likely in line of sight of each other.)

I'd been past here plenty of times but never logged the trig. A pretty easy spot. Lots of cars today so the geoteen had to take the pic while I waited.
Our first trig for the day (out of 2 for me & 5 for bikerbuddy). Easy to spot, in a fascinating old graveyard.
We were at Richmond today to find a Gazmag mystery, so we decided to log a couple of trigs as well. This one's good because it has the historic church, designed by Francis Greenway, and the interesting graveyard to go with it.
Found whilst out with Geoson and Geonanna today.
A nice spot and a sunny day

While out at Windsor having a picnic, I noticed this Trig on top of the church. Took the photo. Thanx!

I have done another 1 of these that are on top of the cross, the amazing things that you find out about doing these trigs, while here & many times during the day I had a fly over by the RAAF , tops, thanks.

Was caching across the road from here a couple of weeks ago but didn't realise the steple was a trig point. Dropped by on the way back from a club bike ride this morning.

IF I had been here a couple of hours later, I could have got a church at sunrise locationless smiley as well, but 1 will do at a time.
The last cache and trig on a day of woking locally and caching there and back.

Arrived at St. Matthews Church in Windsor just before midnight, on my way to work from the Blue Mountains.
My plan was to photograph the ornate cross -- designated TS10426 by the NSW Department of Lands -- with the gibbous moon behind it!
Haven't yet checked my iPhone photos but am a bit worried about how this simple little camera will handle my graveyard shots . . .
Anyhow, I could see the cross easily enough with my naked eyes and enjoyed my moonlight stroll through the silent grounds.
An extra 'Thumbs Up' for the midnight graveyard experience!

Found this one while in the area picking up a Gnome. The cross on the top of the tower is quite ornate, something you cannot really appreciate from street level.
