I was in the area today with Team737, Mighty Minions and GeoIan. Not much left of the trig now besides a circle of stones but worth stopping and getting a photo. Many thanks for the listing.

We were slack today - it was only after navigating to the first GC cache that we noticed this trig right there too.... cool! We found its remains on the way to the library.

Out with a great group of friends finding some caches nearby and stopped for what’s left of this trig

I was jogging in the area, and while enjoying the view from the lookout checked if there were any caches nearby - aha! I headed over to this spot, and soon found the remnants of the Trig. TFTT
Walked from home, via Sams Creek. Small pile all that remains.

A nice easy walk from the trail head. It seems that this trig has not changed at all in the two and a half years since it was last found. It's a sad mess, but it has remained so.

With all of the rain recently, I've caught a bit of cabin fever. Once it turned into a slight drizzle this afternoon, I went for a quick drive and followed a familiar trail. Too wet for the motorbikes today so I had the place to myself. Looks like I'm the first one to visit in a little while.

A not so peaceful walk today, with the motorbike club in full roar. Not that far from where I had spoken to a marshall who didn't realise there was a walking track on the other side of the fence from where he was standing!
Due to the bikes I didn't go too close but snapped from just off the edge of the track.

"FTF" 1728, 3/11/1983. This was #4 found that Thursday afternoon after work. While a photo was taken and catalogued that album has been tossed, so came back to get an 'adventure cache' and thought I would reclaim this one @1250. I have seen the F A Meares name on a few of the older trigs that I found in the 80s.
I would LOVE to be able to help restore some of these older trigs to be something representing what they used to be used for.
(Found today - again, @ 1250)

This one has been on the radar for a long time, and in fact I used to work on Beaumont Road, so I knew exactly where to look for this old cairn
The Trail Bike center was not in use today so I had the whole area to myself, and soon found the old Trig. Well the remnants of it anyway, the cairn has been unpiled and only a small part of the mast is left, the rest has burnt away some time ago. The vanes are still in the middle of the open cairn with some writing still visible on them.
There is no need to trespass on the bike track, just follow the Gundah Ridge Track to GZ.

Came back in for another look, this time with coordinates. The bike track wasn't operating today and it was a pleasant 700m walk from the end of Beaumont Rd. A pretty quick find even though it's not all that obvious as the stones have fallen down. The vanes are still present though and we managed to make out the word 'GUNDAH' etched there. See photo.
It's very close to the bike track so it's a wonder it's survived.

Walked in and followed the arrow. Approaching GZ, spotted the hollow cairn of the old trig, complete with the vanes on a burnt post, laying in the middle. The bike track earthworks are only metres away.
Vanes have faded markings including "F A Mears Surveys", a June 1958 date and "Gundah 727" (feet?).
Can't fault the coordinates. After the GPSr had settled, took 2 long averaged readings which agreed to within 0.001'.

We walked in here some months ago without accurate coords and failed to find anything. There's a fire trail in but the area is a trail bike riding track so possibly it has been removed with all the earth works.
Worth another look with coords though. Not hopeful.
