Catching a ferry from the Maritime Museum to Circular Quay was the closest we have been to this point in a while.
making the most of the free train travel during the school holidays, my daughters and I made this find while caching around Sydney

While we were in Sydney for the weekend and crossing the bridge we were able to take a quick snap of the light atop the bridge and so were able to make a claim on this geocache as well as many others on the bridge.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this TrigPoint here today.

Satying a weekend in the city, so why not go for a wander and collect a couple of trigs. it also feels so good to be back out in the city again it feels like it's been a while. what a great excuse to take a walk around circular quey. I love it down here. any ways we were around by the opera house to get in the whole vista and also you know what not! flashing light is on show here between the flags!

Staying the weekend in the city, so thought I would try and get a few of the trigs and caches around the place. another one that you can see from a long way off, we took this from across at the opera house to get a nice clear shot, you can see the red light flashing in between the flags

The cut&paste bit: Today I walked the 28Km+ 7Bridges Walk in Sydney for the 4th (or 5th?) time. This time around I was quite prepared with a list of geocache.com geocaches, as well as a list of Geocaching Australia (GCA) caches. Normally when I make caching plans I get distracted by something interesting and find few or none of my planned caches, but today was quite a success. The defined route helped! I finished the walk at 4:24 (official event end time was 4:30!) I planned my phone battery power well, bagged a few Pokemon on the way, and even did more caching afterwards. All up I found 9 GC caches, 3 GCA caches - not counting 8 for the 7 bridges and a ‘Completion’ cache - plus probably a bunch of GCA unloved. Thanks for all the caches everyone!
THIS CACHE: I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to spot the red light, but did so, woo hoo! I love this huge structure. TFTC!

In the city for a meeting and wandered up to observatory hill as we had some spare time . Luckily it wasn't to busy or crowded and we had the opportunity to quickly grab a photo of the beacon. Thanks for bringing us here.
In Sydney for a couple of days snapped this one on a walk around the area
Many thanks Geocaching Australia for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

Today the Family went for a harbor tour with the Tas5 visitors. Fast ferries, beautiful views, lots of sun on a nice day and a number of great caches were found in the vicinity between Circular Quay and Darling Harbor.
We have lots of pictures of the top of the Harbour Bridge but had to search a bit closer to see the "light". TFTT
Found, or at least sighted today as I wandered between appointments

Belatedly logging the photographing of this trig point, when I had gone to Sydney (Menai - "Barden" @ night), then down to Nowra for a Testline series, picking up a few other Trigs as well. Then stopped at the Botanic Gardens to grab one there, and a couple at Observatory Hill on walk through that part of Sydney. Sunday, 10 January, 2016.
Not sure if I will ever get "Up Close, and Personal" to this trig, like I have with "Sydney Adventist Hospital", or the one on Taree Hospital.

Not sure of you could see it in the photo, but the light was pretty clear from my perspective on the ferry.
Little late with the log trying to catch up on some I've missed.
I was in Sydney last year for the City 2 Surf.
Took a few photos of the bridge.

While out on a day island hopping with Team MavEtJu, I was able to grab several good shots of the bridge from the water across the day. Hoping to reclaim some ground.

During a trip to town today I used my tele-photo lens to get a shot of the beacon light atop the bridge which is the trig point.
It was a pleasant morning as I worked my way around the Botanical gardens for a walk

Was in Luna Park for a conference so thought I might use some of my free time wisely. Thought I would reduce the number of my GCA unfounds and figured there were a number of simple ones that I could do.
I did take a distance shot but I still feel bad, even though everyone else has don the long shot. So I walked across the bridge to at least get a little closer.

Thanks to my very good friend (He knows who he is!) I have been introduced to Geocaching and although I am not quite getting the caching bit I am however quite taken by the trigonometric Points.
Having heard my friend go on and on about their use and value as well as their history I have decided to log a few with my friend to hold my hand for now!

This was Mrs THR's first day in Sydney and she thoroughly enjoyed her walk around Circular Quay. It's very interesting to learn about the trig point on the bridge. Thank you for enlightening us GCA.

From Milsons Point station you can see the bridge well. Hard to get a shot from closer as you can't see anything for the bridge.
Found on a short weekend trip to Sydney, to watch "The Music of Queen" at the Opera House. While walking across this spectacular bridge, we quickly took a picture of the light with our GPS. Very cool bridge, such a great breakthrough in Australian history. TFTC GCA!

Ive been waiting to be this trig properly rather than copping out and taking a "long shot". Today was the "Crossing the Coathanger" walk which put me right below to finally cross it off the list
Awesome day for a walk and great fun in a big group too!

#GA48 - 15:15; Got the money shot after grabbing a nearby GC cache. Pity the Bridge Climb folk won't let you take a camera up with you on the Climb to get a more intimate photo of the Trig. TFTC GA

Have two shots of this trig:
1. Taken on the Spirit of Tasmania a week before the Sydney/Devonport run finished.
2. Taken from another Trig - the Tower; for a closer shot.
TFTC and cheers

Went for a walk over the bridge, grabbing the three trigs along the way - well, not physically grabbing them - you know what I mean... Light was low, so the photo is grainy. One of the most prominent trigs in the database me thinks!
A quick grab whle killing an hour between appointments in Sydney. The view of the harbour is always great around here. Today was no different.

While we wandering around the Botanical Gardens we spotted the light and took a photo.
Probably the closest the public can get to it at a similar height would be the viewing platform on the SE Pylon of the bridge. This view however is taken with me standing in front of the arch at the top of the SW Pylon. The lights are sort of visible if you look very closely.
Wandering around the Botanical Gardens doing some virtuals, I fugured I had to snap this as well.
Sadly it was from a distance as I can't justify doing bridgeclimb to get a close pic.

I was there today and decided to find out if you could in fact see the light beacon, and sure enough it is easily visible as it flashes 24 hours a day so you can't miss it. It may be hard to see on occasion depending where the maintenance gantries are stopped, but it is there.

As the light beacon is visible from a long way off, there is no reason for this one to remain archived.
This one is on top of the bridge in a no go area, restricted access. So it should be archived, cannot be seen from anywhere as there is no beacon over the Trig Mark.
