12-Apr-22
Down in Sydney City to see the Phantom of the Opera for our 10th anniversary and we (mostly Dad) couldn't resist the urge to grab some virtual caches on the way.

Plenty of opportunities to see this trig point on our wanders. When Dad was a kid he actually went up all the stairs to the top of centrepoint tower. Good view, not sure it was worth the workout though.

10-Apr-22
Found on a morning walk. TFTC.

22-Nov-20
Satying a weekend in the city, so why not go for a wander and collect a couple of trigs. it also feels so good to be back out in the city again it feels like it's been a while. of course you can see this from all over the city but we got in nice and close. I also had to visit the Christmas windows Smile

22-Nov-20
Staying the weekend in the city, so thought I would try and get a few of the trigs and caches around the place. This one was pretty easy to see from most of the city but we got up as close as we could whist still seeing the top.

11-Mar-19
Bit hard to get close to this trig point for a photo... I took a few photos of the tower today, I think this one was the closest. I've been up there a few times - recommended! TFTC! Clan Cerberus

In Sydney on a business trip (a very scary one; I was having my capability assessed!) and I decided to de-stress with some geocaching. I stomped around the area, finding the best selfie to take with this tower was in Hyde Park. TFTC Geocaching Australia

14-Oct-18
Have seen this one many times, but didn't take the opportunity to log it untill today.

09-Oct-18
I was in the city today and due to a delay needed to fill in some time. What better way to fill in time then to collect a few GCA caches. This was the first find for the morning, an easy trig. I have visited this one many times before but today snapped the required selfie in order to log this trig.

Thanks for the trig Geocaching Australia.

Another quick cache. Have been in Sydney so many times for work, including living here for a few years, and still it has taken me this long to clear this TP. But today is the day. DancingClapping

After this pic it was off to lunch with friends

14-Nov-15
Knowing that I could get a good photo from many locations, I took the opportunity to snap in between rain downpours whilst in Hyde Park getting the virtual there.

21-Aug-15
Photo was taken on a busy Friday morning from where my GPSr had GZ. Thought about going up the tower but didn't have time.

05-Aug-15
There was a time when I had access to the rooms on MLC center level 62. I ahould have logged this one from there! Now this photo is taken from only level 29 at Angel place.

I do remember going in there the first time I was in Australia and didn't like the long elevator ride. Not. At. All.

25-Jul-15
Found after visiting the top of the trig with a Japanese exchange student.

09-Apr-15
Came for a late night wander around the city and found myself standing under the impressive Centrepoint tower. This shot is looking straight up at the trig point, but light pollution drowns any back lighting from the galaxies of stars that are there, but just not visible.
Thanks for the opportunity to log this excellent trig cache.
Cheers

27-Oct-14
Thanks to my very good friend (He knows who he is!) I have been introduced to Geocaching and although I am not quite getting the caching bit I am however quite taken by the trigonometric Points.
Having heard my friend go on and on about their use and value as well as their history I have decided to log a few with my friend to hold my hand for now!

14-Sep-14
Seen this many times, even dined up there twice. TFTC.

04-Jul-14

25-May-14
#GA147 - 09:40; Located this one on a weekend in Sydney with the geohoney. I was on my morning walk and took the opportunity to bag a few of the GCA virtuals and Trig Points sitting at the top of the listing of closest caches on the GPSr when I'm in this part of the world. I had just completed the research and taken a snap for a nearby virtual and noticed that this one was looking down on me just begging to be noticed. Took the required snap and it was off on the trail of another virtual. TFTC Geocaching Australia Very Happy

05-May-14
This was Mrs THR's second day in Sydney. We had a wonderful day walking around the Circular Quay and CBD. As we headed through Hyde Park we stopped to take photos of this iconic tower. We were then later amazed to learn that it's actually a trig point. How fascinating. TFTTp GCA

06-Apr-14
seen from all around, hope to make it up the top again soon

03-Mar-14
from Hyde park. wandering around waiting for our cruise ship to board

27-Feb-14
It appears that it's OK to log this one as a 'long shot' so here's my entry taken from Hyde Park at 07:35 while on a walk around the area this morning.

Thanks Geocaching Australia.

17-Nov-13
Was in the city today and had the briefest of windows to log this one. I remember when it was first proposed, let alone built. Our teacher in primary school drew a picture on the blackboard of what it would look like. Have had dinner up there once. It was revolting... I mean revolving...

Took the shot and will upload later when I can transfer.
Sydney's most prominent trig - you can see it from the Blue Mountains.

16-Oct-13
A very long time ago, near when I started caching I had a very nice lunch up there with my family. I will look for photos.

21-Nov-12
Grabbed this one from Hyde Park. The building looks even more ridiculous with the owners brand written on the side. Another trig down.

05-Nov-12
I had to go up the thing for work today, but only as far as the restaurant level not the spire, so had to settle for a shot from ground level.

22-Oct-12
Could have captured this from just about any vantage point in Sydney, I took this up close from the corner of King St

18-Jul-12
Grabbed while in Sydney for the weekend.

Thanks for another trig....

07-Jun-12
Freshly landed on Aussie land in the morning(Finally!!) and going out for a cache hunt then Vivid show in the afternoon Very Happy Found my first cache/trig in Australia with my boy(aka Zalgariath Razz) en route to the pancake restaurant where my boy had chocolate pancake for dinner..yep thats my boy! Busy spot in Sydney centre to take a picture and interesting to know about these little trig caches.

Loved the light show afterwards, indeed very vivid and creative. What an awesome way to kick start my great Aussie days! Look forward to what is yet to come..

08-May-12
I chose the use the Hyde Park vista while doing a few caches in the area. This view opened up so I took a snap! Must be the easiest trig to find!

03-May-12
you can log this from anywhere. photo taken from Hyde park and will be uploaded tonight

15-Apr-12
I took a snap of this one as we were wandering about Hyde Park doing some virtual caches. Thanks

15-Apr-12
3rd trig for the day. Took the photo as we were about to head around Hyde Park after 3 virtual caches.

14-Apr-12
Have been to the "top" (Viewing Platform) of the Centrepoint a couple of times. Have eaten in its restaurant too. Views from this TP are fantastic.
TFTC and cheers;
OldSaint.

01-Apr-12
A quick find after getting of the train nearby.

12-Mar-12
A quick grab whle killing an hour between appointments in Sydney. I doubt that this spot will be dwarfed by other buildings anytime soon. Interesting view from the observation platform.

01-Feb-12
GCA 440 - 4819. Visited a number of mainly Virtuals and Trigs during some spare time in Sydney over a two day period.

Second find for the day. Something I've seen thousands of times but didn't know it was a trig !

TFTC !!

19-Jan-12
While down at Darling Harbour, I finally realised that I can find this Trig point. Took the photo from over 1km away. Nice big pointy thing Dancing

23-Dec-11
Possibly the most awesome Trigg in the world! Spent some money on our that's for sure haha. Good to be home and back caching in Sydney. Snapped this from Hyde park Wink

25-Nov-11
I had a meeting in a building on Market St, ie just across the road, although the photo is from closer to York St. A bit drizzly so didn't work too hard on getting me into the picture!

24-Sep-11
While in town for a break, I got a nice clear view of the tower from Hyde Park, and snapped a pic for the trig cache.
Then headed to the Botanical Gardens for the series of virtuals.

23-Aug-11
Amazing how hard it was to get a view of Centrepoint when you are down the Quay end of the city.

06-Aug-11
You could log this trig from nearly anywhere in Sydney!

The NSW Department of Lands has designated the top of 'Centrepoint' as an official TS and given it a number -- so a true trig it is.

Very distinctive against today's brilliant blue sky . . .

The tallest trig in Australia, I guess . . .

05-Aug-11
Stopped off to log this one on my way home after mufti day at work nearby.

27-Jul-11
Since I was right there in the City looking for trigs I had to get it, this one was visible from so many vantage points that you cannot miss it.
