Headed to Sydney for weekend away with fitzy_1965.

We picked up both GC and GCA caches along the way.

A quick wander up into the park, with a stop at a GC along the way, made for a quick find of this unloved trig point.

Found 3:01pm with girlfriend. We were in the Campbelltown area for an engagement function and staying overnight so it was a good opportunity to do some caching. Grabbed this when we went out to look for a GC cache which we couldn't find. The Trig on the other hand was a little easier. Only problem it was quite hot out in the sun. Nice park though, unfortunately people still don't know how to clean up their own rubbish as the area was quite a mess. Photo taken by girlfriend of my GPS.

#GA404 - 10:45; I suggested to Sol de lune some time back that we should do a day run to Sydney to pick up some of the GCA trigs and caches on offer. A couple of weeks ago we identified an opportunity timing wise and so it was that we made our way north today, collecting a total of 32 trigs for the day. We were able to drive in fairly close to this one for a quick find. I wonder where 'B', 'C' and even 'D' are? TFTC Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

A day trip planned with LuckyL10n to start grabbing a few trigs in different area's of Sydney. Hit Campbelltown, Liverpool, Fairfield and Bankstown today...and grabbed a total of 32. Back in a couple of months for another go.

First of a couple of the markers today. An easy one to spy here.

Was this way for a family get together, wanted to do other caches in the area but didn’t work out. This is a nice park with good views on a clear day. Didn’t lift lid as I was in my Sunday best. Thanks

This one turned out to be an easy find, in a well cleared area freshly mowed so no problem seeing the yellow PM Cover Box from a distance.
Ants are starting to take it over but I guess they won't be disturbed very much anyway. A bit of a struggle to open the hatch but it gave way in the end to brute force. I could feel the locating plug under all the loose dirt the ants have created and did not want to disturb them anymore than I had to. Unfortunately the name plaque has gone.
A great view from up here, you can see why there is a Trig Point here.

A nice quick find in a lovely park.

Found whilst out trundling around C'town on my bike today.

How the view from here has changed over the years. Back when I was a teenager (and that was some years ago) if you looked west across the Campbelltown CBD from here all you would see were a few factories around the rail line and past the factories the hills had dairy cows wandering over them. Same to the south west and north west. Where did all those houses come from. Sad

I think this is a very underutilised park, really could do with some better facilities as it would make a great family picnic spot.

I couldn't get the cover up so was unable to check the TP number.

TFTTPH,
Michael (GPS).
