#GA5497 - 11:55; In Sydney for a few days with the geohoney and decided today to head to Watson's Bay for lunch at the pub. Arrived early, so headed out to the lighthouse for a wander and a spot of caching as well. I'd always thought it was further around than it turned out to be, so happy to finally get this one off the 'to do' list! TFTT Geocaching Australia Clan Cerberus

Out grabbing a few nearby trigs this afternoon after collecting a D5/T5 earlier in the day. Nice walk to South Head where we could see this one.

Found this trig while out on a caching run through the Eastern Suburbs trying to progress my journey and get a few steps closer to the destination. Total haul for the day was 15 caches including 9 trigs, some GCA virtuals and a few GC caches.

This was my main target for the day - Hornby Lighthouse. A four in one find with a trig, Geocaching Australia virtual, GC.com virtual and the starting point of a GC.com multi cache! The journey to the lighthouse was amazing with great views, lots of history to explore and pretty blue fairy wrens darting here and there across the path. The lighthouse itself has one of the best views in the city. Sign me up as a lighthouse keeper please!!!! Snapped the required photos before spending some more time exploring here.

Thanks for the cache Geocaching Australia Very Happy

Hoping this find will move me one step closer to the destination, be that either the blue tile or my goal of 100 trigs!

This is one of the best "show Sydney to tourists" spots. We took my father-in-law (from Tassie) for a lovely walk around the area, and while there I noted this trig. We found it makes an interesting echo, with the waves sounding like they are crashing above you (rather than below you), if you stand on the path just south of the lighthouse. TFTT

Found this while waiting for the 'James Craig' to return to camera range

A very nice walk around South Head to reach this lovely spot. By the way this Hornby who designed the lighthouse is not related to Frank Hornby of Scalextric and Hornby train fame!
