Before heading home, I headed towards Surry Hills for an Adventure Lab waypoint. I took a photo on the way. TFTT.
This is a sight we saw regularly in the past when we worked in the City. However we never took its photo! ClimbingSon is working in the City at the moment so snapped this photo after work as he rushed to catch the Mountains Train home. TFTT
Finally remembered that this is a trigpoint, and snapped this picture while waiting for the bus.

Spotted this one from the train as we were heading into the city for a meeting. Luckily it wasn't to busy or crowded and we had the opportunity to grab a quick photo as we passed by.
In Sydney for a couple of days snapped this one on a walk around the area

In Sydney on a business trip (a very scary one; I was having my capability assessed!) and I decided to de-stress with some geocaching. I spent the whole morning walking around the city (the assessment was cruelly at 1pm! Get it over with!) and made my way to this beautiful old station. A happy snap out the front and I'm on my way. I flew into Sydney from Adelaide, grabbed a train from the plane, and on the way in to town had a check for possible caches.
Bingo! Right where I was going.
I noted that construction was underway, and as I made my way towards GZ past builders'hoardings, I did wonder if the tower would be visible.
Once outside, "Bingo" again!

It may not be the most spectacular trig, but it plays an important role in the history of the station. As it does in my caching history as this is my 100th trig point find, made even better as I was joined by No_Tommorrow. Now, as I pass by on my commute, I’ll always remember the big 1-0-0.
Grabbed to day on the way out of the city. Work finished, killing some time before home time.

I arrived on the train today and dragged my luggage about, while I found a few local caches, etc. TFTC.

I commute to Central during the week, so this one was easy to find. First photo has me in it, second photo is a much better shot. Looked a bit like the flag was snagged on the pole today.
We were in Sydney for the weekend and staying at the Great Southern Hotel and so we had to walk past this trig point location many times to get to the train at Central.
This time I was onmy own and doing some caching along the way so I had time to stop for a photograph.

Visiting Sydney and paying UTS a visit we came past central station and did some caching, while here with Wilma.
Found on a trip to Sydney to run the City2Surf. We caught the train down from Canberra and I grabbed this cache soon after disembarking. TFTT
In the area today and soon had the tower in view. Photo snapped and all was good.
Central station, as many other ones a beautiful building were the past times still can be found. This clock tower is in the same style as the building. Beautiful!

Took a happy snap of this icon as I walked through into Sydney City having exited the train back at Redfern

found on a day caching around Sydney. Got off the train amongst a crowd who were all going to the Open Days down the road for UTS, Sydney Uni & Ultimo TAFE. Glad to finally be walking away from that crowd. What with trackwork in the City Circle as well and the trains going only as far as Central. Thanks for the trig

We went on a tour around the city today. I captured this as we drove past on the bus
The trig was in magnificent form tonight and it was a delight to come and check it out. There was a Opera Soprano busking nearby so it made for an even more impressive experience. Found at 1719 this afternoon.
Thanks for highlighting this great trig in the middle of the city.
Cheers

Thanks to my very good friend (He knows who he is!) I have been introduced to Geocaching and although I am not quite getting the caching bit I am however quite taken by the trigonometric Points.
Having heard my friend go on and on about their use and value as well as their history I have decided to log a few with my friend to hold my hand for now!

This was Mrs THR's first time in Sydney and she was getting the grand tour. We stopped at Central and walked to church in the city. The train station here is always a sight to see as is the clock tower. TFTTp GCA

Working over the road from here today was a perfect opportunity to grab this one at lunchtime, before finding the GC traditional immediately below!
Down in Sydney for work, staying at the Sebel in Surry Hills. I can see the tower from my window! They certainly don’t have trigs like that back home. The photo makes the clock tower look more like a lighthouse though! I’m looking forward to grabbing a few new caches in the area while I’m in town this week.

This site is a place I frequently pass by each day as I do my daily commute to and from work. It is always a pleasant sight to see in the morning and to sync my time.

2nd trig for the day, just after getting off the Mountains train ahead of a day's caching in the City.
Was waiting for a train on Central station after flying back from NZ and I remembered the clock tower was a trig so I snapped a photo. I should have grabbed one of UTS at the same time.
Another city trig point found and crossed off. Many hours spent here in my youth waiting for the country mail train to take me home during school holidays.

Lots of new trigs for me to find since coming home! First one in nearly a year for me. Might as well start in town and work my way out

I had an hour to spare between finishing working here in the city and picking up my wife - also in the city. What else is there to do in that case but to grab a few caches - and virtuals seemed to be the best option today, as I am saving the newer traditional caches for the Christmas to Feb run when I have heaps of days to complete in my caching calendar.
4th of several for the hour.

I walk under this trig most days on the way to work. Realising that it was a trig, decided to snap a photo of it from platform 10/11. Pity the scaffolding is still there - been nearly a year now.
Captured this photo of the trig point during my lunch break

last Trig for the day, quite good in fact since I was taking the train back to Lithgow. A great spot to get a good shot is from the end of the intercity platforms.
