Description
Rooty Hill TS3944D
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Rooty.
Serial number is: TS3944D.
Last Inspected on: No Data.
Elevation is: 69 metres.
Sadly, this trig is no more. The original cairn was unpiled and destroyed when the Western Sydney Parkland was created and the area grassed over. To replace this trig, the PM47500 (Permanent Marker) was set up in almost the same location, a couple meters away, but this is not the Trig!
It is interesting that the original location pin is still there to be found, a small copper plug on a little patch of concretea couple meters South of the PM marker. Of course, it will soon be overgrown and very difficult to find.
This trig should not to be confused with another set up mark, a GIP (Galvanized Iron Pipe) in a small patch of concrete on the other side of the PM. This is well rusted but still there and will also eventually be covered over by the spring growth.

Logs
Awesome views
Nice panoramic views around the horizon.
Can imagine that this was once a very appropriate trig site.
Now, I guess it's just matter of time until the final remains disappear under the turf.
I only went to check the PM on almost the same location, and surprise surprise the original copper locating plug is still there to be seen. As well as the GIP set up marker.
There is even some remain of the yellow paint around the locating plug.
