Another trig and another LGA. My dad worked here from when he was a patient in the early 40s until 1970 when he moved to Canberra as Repats Management and Efficiency Expert. So proud of him. He certainly wouldn't recognise the area now.

Out on a walk along the foreshore trail and walked right past this.

Found on our way home from Bayview. Saw it on the way there but was able to take a photo on the way home. TFTT
Found while caching around the area today. The backdrop to the show All Saints.

While stopping in for a nearby GC cache (while on my way to rehearsals), I was hoping I could get a reasonable view of this trig. This was the best I could get without being late.
I didn't really have any plans to log this one but when walking by I realised how close I was a snapped a quick picture.

Needing a last find for my 2 week streak, this seemed the closest. Very hard to see the right spot way up there!
Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1073 - 10543 overall cache finds.
Found during a run up to the big Lane Cove Event with Sol de Lune, Toy Hunters and LuckyL10n when we decided to grab a bunch of trigs as well. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especialy the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !
The trig was quickly 'found'. Piccie taken and posted.
Thanks Geocaching Australia !

Found with Sol de Lune, fitzy_1965 and LuckyL10n on our trip to Lane Cove for the birthday event. A lovely trig in a great area, to stop for a quick rest and stretch. TFTC GCA!

#GA256 - 13:00; I was back in the area today after dropping the geohoney, geoteen and friend off for some retail therapy. I had gathered most of the information I needed for the nearby multi, but was one piece short, so did the stroll across the road to grab a couple arou nd the hospital and to keep out of the rain. Not sure what the catering event was outdoors, but the weather wasn't being too kind. Managed to grab the snap before heading off to grab one of the GC caches in the vicinity. Grabbing the Kokoda Munzee series and knew this was the closest unfound Trig to home so snapped a picture too on a glorious winters morning. Missed the Birthday Cake Munzee though

Drove around at lunch to pickup a few DNF's in the area and stopped by to get this Trig. Not much parking at all around the hospital, so I drove down a road and was able to see the Trig. Took some photos. Nice one.

Found this one today on a special trip from the mountains to find it, and sure enough there it is. Loved the reserve next to the Hospital with the Kokoda Trail Walk. Worth the trip just for that alone.
