Logs

12-Dec-20
First approach did not get a clear view. Second attempt a success. TFTC

29-Aug-20
Had to come down to North Sydney this afternoon, so decided to get this one while I was here. Best viewed from a distance because of the trees, this shot is taken from the north.

07-Dec-18
We could only manage a long range shot from the front fence, but on a school day, what can you do?

07-Dec-18
Sixth stop on our city cycling tour of trigs.

07-Dec-18
Long shot from the front fence.

25-May-18
I left work early after a celebration lunch and decided to find some caches on the way home. I found a few nearby trigs and a traditional, and then headed past here on the way back to the station. I was able to get a reasonable shot from the school gate. TFTT

20-Nov-17
Found at sunset, very few people about.

23-Jul-17
A difficult trig to photograph, at least from the direction I saw it. In summer it would be blocked by the tree leaves, but in winter I could see it through the branches. TFTC.

14-Jun-16
I decided to go for a walk and look for this trig. I've had a lot of things on my mind lately and needed to get out. I walked into the school area part of the way and then took the snap shot. Quite a large area by the looks of things around here.

15-May-16
Quick find while roaming around North Sydney. I wasn't brave enough to go on the school area, as such a picture from outside.

13-Dec-15
#GA772 - 16:22; Sol de lune and I had decided that double points month made a flying day trip to Sydney to grab some more trigs and perhaps a GeGnome or two a worthwhile adventure. An itinerary was hastily prepared and today was to be the day. We had completed a good part of the prepared itinerary, but it had been a bit ambitious, so we decided to abandon it at this stage and collect as many caches in the Willoughby and North Sydney areas before heading back across the bridge for a few more southside on the way home. After picking up a couple of the nearby trigs, along with a small band of GeGnomes we were now headed towards home. This was just around the corner from the PO, so we dropped by. Probably didn't park in the best spot, but with the gate open, we made a quick entry and exit to take the required happy snaps, our parking effort having gone undetected! Grabbed with LuckyL10n during our day run to Sydney chasing a few pesky GeGnomes along with a few Trigs...

Parked outside and as the gate was open we walked and soon had our required photo. TFTT

TOday a Visit to Kirribilli had me find lots of Caches and two of these

23-Apr-14
Harder to get near this one with a lot of construction around. Found a spot with a view of the pole near an old cache I remember.

30-May-13
Was in the area doing caches and I keep forgetting that my GPSr also has the GCA caches downloaded. So as I parked and got out, I see a Trig flagpole 200m away. You beauty! Took some pics and moved on. Not enough people doing GCA these days Rolling Eyes

28-Aug-12
Wandering onto school grounds to look for a survey marker in the middle of the day is a sure way to generate suspicion... Good thing the trigpoint is visible from outside the gates!

19-Jan-12
Nice and easy when you have a cache next door

07-Oct-11
Decided to get off the train at North Sydney on my way back from Artarmon to take the needed photo of this Trig Point. Just as well it was school holidays otherwise it could have been a problem, an old bloke with a camera and lots of school kids around!
