Found this on a trip through Newcastle. Started out as torrential rain but turned into a lovely day.
Came up to the fort for lunch and the gun firing. Decided to risk the drive as everyone was getting hot. Best parking spot in the whole area up here

#GA5254 - 11:15; Day 2 in Newcastle with the geohoney and I set off early for a spot of caching around the CBD before we headed north to Nelson Bay for a bit of sightseeing. Picked up some Adventure Labs and other caches around the CBD before heading back to Fort Scratchley this morning for the two trigs located there, which were missing from my original PQ for the trip. Grabbed a couple of snaps soon after the other trig on site here. TFTT Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

Wow, another 12 month unloved trig right here in Newcastle! Tho I have tried two other times myself but been thwarted, a) at night - only open 10am to 4pm, and b) the Fort is closed on Tuesdays.
There was a school group being shown through, but I did get the chance to ask about the 'Fort Stockton' site and if there was tours there also, to be told it is actually called Fort Wallace, and there is no tours, so it seems that TS2093 will go unfound by the civilian cacher.
But got the photo of the flag pole here, and tried to get some info for some Waymarking.

Found this whilst out geocaching for the afternoon.
Parade is exactly right as it is the flag pole above the parade ground.
