Logs
Whilst the car was being serviced in Penrith I used the opportunity to take a train ride up the mountains to Blackheath where I had 4 and a half hours to walk around before making the train trip back down the mountains. One of three trig points visited, also came across a survey marker (SSM) and a survey marker footsteps in time.

I see this every time I drive up and down the Mountains but have never turned off to get closer to take a photo. Today after a day of caching I headed off the Highway to find and log it.
SIX designates TS10218R as "Blackheath Tower" and the reservoir's trig as "Sentinal". Photographed both today.
#GA2387 - 17:55; Day three of the summer sojourn in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney and today we decided to do Scenic World and see a bit more of the local environs. The day started with breakfast in Leura then off to Scenic World and a trip down the Scenic Railway and the walk through the rainforest. The highlight of the day was seeing not one, but two lyrebirds in their native habitat. Managed some great (and some not so great) snaps of these beautiful birds in the wild Travelled back up in the cable car and after a bite to eat headed across on the Scenic Skyway and back again after a short walk on what had become quite a hot day. After enjoying the sights, we were took the long way home and after dropping the geohoney at the resort, I headed off for a spot of late afternoon caching. I collected a few trads, but the main focus of this mission was trigs, including this one. Another spot where I managed a two for one collect!. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Grabbed this one and the one on the water tank next door on my trip over the Blue Mtns today. Can get a shot through the trees from the street behind. Funny way to spell sentinel.
Found with GrimRaider while visiting Jenolan Caves on the weekend. We made our way from Jenolan on the way to Katoomba but stopped in here to grab these trigs. Thanks for sharing

We'd pulled in following the GPSr to Blackheath trig & realised we were also in the right spot for this one. So 2 for the price of one .
Two trigs for the price of one! The reservoir and tower are right next to each other. Even managed to get them in the same shot! Thanks
On the way to Sydney for family and work commitments and just enough spare time to grab a trig or 2 on the way.

Im OCD enough to log Static Trigs... though Im not a huge fan of these towers that dont look like a trig or have other point of interest. Still, coming home from the BMPT I was keen to continue to rack up the numbers today and crossed this off my list.
Cheers!

With my new shorter afternoon Friday caching time, I just gad time for a quick upper mountains run.
Second of three quick photos.
Second of three quick photos.
Another easy photo stop alongside the Great Western Highway -- right next to the reservoir trig.
Mrs. pjmpjm and I then drove down to Lookout Street and enjoyed the view across the railway tracks.
Thanks again to rogerw3 for publishing this one.

You can't miss this one visible from a long way along the Great Western Highway. Got it this morning on my walk from Medlow Bath to Blackheath.
