First of two finds (1 GCA and 1 GC) while out exploring Heathcote/Engadine with the geo kiddies. Thought I would target these this trig as part of the journey or destinaton game. I have never explored this side of Heathcote. Its a really nice leafy quiet area. I noticed a few tracks heading off into the National Park to explore at a later date too. Back to the trig...approaching in the car this one was tricky to spot with the tree coverage. Finally spotted it and snapped the required photos and then off to see if I could find the ICEM and some GC caches in Engadine. A different colour for the vanes on this one, never seen red ones before!

Hoping this find will move me one step closer to the destination, be that either the blue tile or my goal of 100 trigs!

“It is sometimes said [citation needed] that the game of geocaching is not about the destination it is about the journey. This game is about the choices you make in the experience of the journey or the destination.“ Find # 5 Journey or Destination games.

Whilst in Heathcote I decided to swing by and get a photo of this lovely trig.

I parked around the corner and took the short walk back to photograph this. TFTC.

Nice and easy, but getting a good shot was not so easy.

Found. Photo attached.

Cool spot. Easy find.
Enjoyed a lovely weekend on the coast - beautiful weather. Did a day of Aussie caching while hubby busy. Also got to hang out with my girl - she's all grown up! Smile

Came to Heatecote early to get this trig. Drove passed it till I spotted when I was almost underneath. Turned around down further and came back. Got to what was a great angle fir the snap shot a nice red vanes on a square water tower. Haven't seen many like that before. Thanks for the trig.

Originally I found "Bottle Forest" reservoir trig back on Saturday, 20/7/1985, but found the renamed Heathcote trig 1920, 9/1/2016. Had to take some more photos as the earlier ones had been thrown out.

Finally managed to turn left at the right moment and grab this one. I didn't know there was a water tower here!

Getting towards the end or my Sydney trip, but no problems here and the trig was soon spotted......

Not hard to find, how ever you need to be on the other side of the road to see it. Nice quiet area.

15 months unfound. Was in the area, so drove over and could see the vanes up top. Parked to get the best pics. Nice one.

Only a little diversion after some caching in Sutherland today. One actually shouldn't go to close to GZ or it is not visible anymore!

A couple of spare hours this afternoon on a sunny public holiday. Out for a couple of caches, and stopped by here on the way home.

11-Nov-11
Last minute decision to jump on the train to Sydney and then down to Heathcote, not that I am obsessed or anything like that!
Found this nice red trig without any trouble, stands out quite well from the side of the road.
