Logs
For years I’ve tried to get this one but the traffic was always too much and the timing was never right. Up to today when the traffic was very very very light at a stupid early Sunday and I timed it right. Behold the photo!
Parking at the gate was the difficult part of this one. Once reversed in, it was and easy walk up to a trig in great condition.

On a 'gong escarpment trig road trip with rogerw3.
Preplanning is required to access the parking spot (allow for following traffic to clear) but from there it is an easy 200m stroll to this fine displayed trig ... in excellent condition with mast, neatly 'holed' vanes, name plate and only metres from the highway.

Out on a Trig hunt with Whitemushroom.
This required a bit of astute parking at the gate, as it does come up very suddenly but it is quite safe once you are there.
The trig is an easy find along the track, it does stand out.

Didn't see the gate, so took the T3 route up the side. Soon found the 'pristine' concrete pedestal trig, with post, vanes and name plate. BARGAIN! Took a few photos, then continued my journey further south.

Found with LuckyL10n during our day trip down to The Gong...
Managed to grab a little parking spot in front of the gate and took the first track up to the trig. No problems and the photo was soon grabbed.

#GA666 - 17:05; Sol de lune and I had discussed a wild trig hunt in the Illawarra quite a while ago and today was the day we tried to bring home the bacon. We had collected a few on the way down the mountain and in to Kiama, before heading north for a DNF in Shellharbour then on to the main section of the Tour de Illawarra. Found a park for the geomobile and followed a track right up to the trig where the required snaps were taken. Found a shorter track back down, as usual. TFTC Geocaching Australia

Stopped on the way home. An easy find with a well formed track to the Trig which is in good condition with the name plate still attached.

Only about 10 meters from the highway and not visible from the road itself!! Nowadays there are several way higher possibilities around!
