MrT had training at Katoomba SES so I thought I would travel up with him and look for a couple of caches. MrT pointed me in the right direction so I headed down the road to the Lookout. I had been here last year with MrT to photograph Boars Head. This arvo was overcast so headed down to take the photo for the log. Then back to the car and off to look for another before dsrk.
The rain had set in by the time I got to this trig, so a dash to snap it and run back to the car. Must return on a drier day as looked like the views could be quite good.
These stairs! Not good for the knees. Getting down was easy. Going back up was a little painful. Glad I chose not to do the Ikara Head walk - I may have only made it one way. haha.
And the rock over yonder really does look like a boars head!

Found on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Sol de Lune. After parking at the designated area at the top of the hill, we walked down the path towards the trig. FANTASTIC views of this area, despite the black charcoal trees. TFTC GCA!

The area is closed at the moment, but I took the risk of falling trees to get this trig and see probably the best view up here in the mountains.

An easy find, except waiting for the tourist bus folk to depart to the obligatory photograph ...still, with wait the valley scenery more than compensated ... a great valley lookout.

What a great Christmas present!
Another new trig right near home!
Drove over early this afternoon and of course knew this lookout already -- great views and highly recommended.
Weather was only so-so but there were a fair number of tourists around nevertheless.
Thanks for the publication, rogerw3!
