Description
Bicentennial TS?
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Unknown 'Bicentennial' is used for convenience.
Serial number is: TS number is unallocated.
Last Inspected on: No Data.
Elevation is: 42 metres.
There is no record of this trig being recorded by the Department of Llands, however it is not possible to categorically say that it is not a trig, so when in doubt...
While Munzee Placing and Caching in Bicentennial Park today I took in the splender that is the Treillage, the largest of the viewing towers in the park. Then something struck me... at the top, apart from the flag, was the distinctive 4 quadrant Trig Plates! This has to be one of the most impressive Trigs in Sydney hehe. It make sense, it is the highest point for miles around, and the whole structure resembles a trig. Not sure if it is "Official", I'll leave that work up to the experts) But damn me if it doesnt deserve a listing! :D

With a number of multis, a couple of puzzles and now a moveable found today the goal was now to get six different types. This trig would be our fourth type. A different type of trig to usual now to climb to the top for the GC cache.
Required selfie attached.
GCA find #43
Found during a run up to the big Lane Cove Event with Sol de Lune, Toy Hunters and LuckyL10n when we decided to grab a bunch of trigs as well. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especialy the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !
The trig was quickly 'found'. Piccie taken and posted.
Thanks Geocaching Australia !

Some weeks ago we were out at the park as the Olympic cauldron had been lit for the London games so during a Munzee hunt we grabbed this one.
Anyway it's since been published as a trig so it MUST be a trig!
I would be inclined to keep it as a Trig until it can be proved not to be.
Good find Zal.
Lots and lots and lots of Leap Frogs and gnomes in attendance!
But is this really an official TS, registered with the NSW Department of Lands? We'll wait for rogerw3 to investigate . . .
Sure does look like a trig, though . . . Great place to visit.
Anyhow, thanks to Zal for making it all happen on the day!
