Diabolical! The vegetation that I had to get through for the last 100m to the trig is the thickest, nastiest and most impenetrable I have ever experienced.
I tried a couple of different approaches but there was no way of avoiding it. On the walk back I stuck to the very highest ground I could but it was still quite difficult and took 15 minutes to get through 100m of the stuff. Urgghhh.
The trig itself is a bit haphazard with the vanes scattered around.
Found at 3:40 pm.

On the topo, this looked easy enough, only 750M with no change in altitude. It even started out pretty easy, traipsing through a gum tree forest that was a little dense but manageable. But about 300M from the trig, I hit the chest-high scrubby scrub, it was like wading through very scratchy treacle. Nasty stuff.
But I perservered, eventually finding a largish cairn with rusty old vanes on top. My joy at the find was tempered by the thought of needing to return through all the scratchy bushes.
I am not sure whether there would be any views from here, since visibility was so reduced by rain and mist.
Round trip was 2 hrs.
