Made my way to the entrance to the water treatment plant, and headed off around the perimeter. The first part was easy, but once I turned the corner this became a bit of a bush bash. Still I persevered and eventually came to the open corridor for the oil and gas pipeline, and what looked like a much easier way out. Made my way to the top of the hill for GCA find number 1000 - a nice milestone Dancing

Once the required photos were taken headed down what looked the easier way only to find that all it led to was the back of the water treatment plant and a clear road to my car (if not for the locked gates and barbed wire topped fence at the front entrance). So it was back the way I came in to recover the geomobile. Maybe an easier way would be to follow the oil and gas pipeline from the nearest road if it doesn't cut across private property.

Still happy with a bit of a bush bash work for the milestone Mr. GreenMr. GreenMr. Green

Found whilst doing a reccie for a bush walk from Somersby Falls via GNW and Flood Creek. There were lots of fences that needed to be negotiated to get to this one but eventually got there.

27-Jan-14
Followed Baktrak's route although there was a pointless locked gate in the way - not sure what it's supposed to keep in or out. Followed the trail ahead and to the left then up the hill to the trig which is in good nick. Took the shots and returned.

23-Mar-12
Accessed from the end of Myoora Rd, next to the water plant, then up the trails to the hilltop. The trig is in a cleared pipeline easement, providing good views SW and NE. Similar construction to Somersby trig, with a square steel post, set in a square concrete base, supporting the mast and vanes.
The trig is in only fair condition with faded paint, rust starting on the vanes and the vane straps rusted and broken.
